Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be provided without charge, describing it as a basic need and a government responsibility. You also give relevant reasons, including improved public health and the need for governments to develop water infrastructure. These points address the question, but they are not developed evenly. For example, the claim that free clean water would reduce illness is relevant, yet it would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how households benefit. The discussion of international agreements and water flows is less directly connected to whether each home should receive water free of charge. Explain your position on the costs and practical provision more fully, and support the main reasons with clearer examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable overall direction: it introduces water’s importance, discusses government provision, and ends by urging conservation. However, ideas are grouped into very long blocks, with little paragraphing to show the stages of the argument. Several points are joined by repeated connectors such as “because,” “for this purpose,” and “and,” so the progression can feel mechanical rather than clearly planned. The final paragraph shifts from free household supply to individual conservation without explaining how these ideas relate. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and a conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main point. More precise referencing and a wider range of linking expressions would also make the relationships between ideas clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water and sanitation system,” “dams,” “canals,” “global warming,” and “health department,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated use of basic words such as “water,” “important,” “government,” and “provide.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “clean water provide good and better life,” “construction regarding dams,” and “water inflow and outflow.” There are also spelling errors such as “freah,” “cleans,” and “thsi,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions, such as “ensure access to safe drinking water” and “invest in water infrastructure,” while checking spelling and avoiding repeated wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example the sentence beginning “Every Government of country has focused on water and sanitation system because…”. This shows an effort to connect ideas, but long sentences are often difficult to control and contain several grammatical problems. Examples include “our earth planet consist,” “clean water provide,” and “the number of sick people definitely decrease,” where subject–verb agreement is missing. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “for every human being in the earth” and the opening run-on sentence make the meaning less smooth. Use shorter, complete sentences when presenting several points, and check agreement, articles, capitalization, and full stops. More accurate control of these basics would make your argument easier to follow.
