Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is the basic necessity for human survival and availability to clean and safe drinking water is as important as breathing pure air for the existence of living being. I strongly agree to the idea of delivering safe and clean water for household use free of cost as people rely on buying spring water or distilled water for drinking and it helps in the availability of safe drinking water is everywhere.
Now-a-days, people depends on bottled water for drinking and washing hair because the water that we get today is hard water with more chlorine and other mineral and metal contents. As a result of this, it's not consumable quality, so everyone have a tendency to buy water. As an example, we are getting a lot of marketting calls everyday describing the presence of harmful metal contents in the water and how water can be tested for its quality and to install water purifiers. From this, its clear that if we need to drink pure water, we need to buy it or depend on some kind water purifiers.
Furthermore, just like breathing pure air, we should be able to get free water supply. Even when you are travelling to different parts of the world, the most marketed item is drinking water. For example, my friend recently travelled to place where he said the most difficult thing was to get clean water to drink. He mentioned that they bought bottled water for heavy charge but the disappointing part is that the water was being refilled in bottles and selled for huge price. As a result of this, there is chance of spreading many water-borne diseases.
In conclusion, I still stand to my opinion of getting clean and safe water for drinking and other purpose as it reduces an additional burden on people and this amount can be saved for something else.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including the cost of bottled water and the risk of unsafe refilled bottles, and support them with examples. However, the response does not fully explain what a free household supply would involve or how it would ensure water is clean and safe; this distinction matters because the prompt concerns a supplied service, not simply access to drinking water. The point about water being used for “washing hair” is also not developed, and the discussion focuses mainly on bottled water rather than the broader household supply. Develop these points and explain how your examples support the proposed policy more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “As a result,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main direction. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “As a result of this, it's not consumable quality” does not clearly identify what “this” refers to, and the sentence beginning “From this, its clear” repeats the preceding point rather than advancing it. The second body paragraph also moves from free water to travel and then disease without fully explaining each connection. Use clearer referencing and make each paragraph develop one central reason through explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “bottled water,” “water purifiers,” “harmful metal contents,” and “water-borne diseases,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “additional burden.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “availability to clean and safe drinking water,” “stand to my opinion,” and “selled for huge price.” Spelling errors such as “marketting” and “everyday” (where “every day” is intended) also reduce control. Aim for natural, precise combinations—for example, “access to clean drinking water” and “maintain my position”—and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as a result,” and “where,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “people depends,” “everyone have,” and “the existence of living being”; these should be “people depend,” “everyone has,” and “living beings.” The opening sentence is also difficult to control because several ideas are joined together, while “it helps in the availability” has an unclear grammatical structure. Use shorter, complete sentences when expressing a complex point, and check subject–verb agreement, singular/plural forms, and article use. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
