Student answer (Band 5.5)

It seems thorny isuue as whether water supply to every home should be free of cost or not. As the access to clean water is basic human right. Though few peple may approve the above staed notion, yet i completely dissent with the statement. However number of arguments in following paragraphs surrond my opinion.

To commence with first agrument, it can be said that water is provide to home is free of cost . If they do so, individuals utilise water unnecessarily. Youngster unable to learn the value of water that how precious it is. Without water the life is impossible to survive. But if it provide free of cost to masses, the they consume it for various purposes without having thoughts of its wastage. For instance, majority of masses washing their cars in the locality as well as washing their lawn area on regular basis , which cause lot of wastage of water.

Beside, it would not be wrong to say that masses also pollute the water resources by throwing waste in cannels, edge of rivers and oceans. Despite some campaign related to save water, individuals do not bother to look after water resourse. As a consequence , climate altertion is noticed . There is intense heat during summer which leads to drought in some regions. This all are occured just beacuse irrelvant behaviour of masess towards water consumption. For example, during monsoon , there is heavy rainfall in some area as a result flood situation arises.

Finally to conclude, eventhough some destitute unable to pay to get access to water, yet there are some stringent laws should be implement by the legislations in order to control wastage .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the introduction: you “completely dissent” from making household water free, and the conclusion suggests controlling waste through laws. You also give relevant points about unnecessary consumption and pollution, with examples such as washing cars and lawns. However, the response only partially develops the task. It does not explain how people who cannot afford water could still receive access, even though this is acknowledged in the conclusion, and the pollution and climate discussion is not clearly connected to whether water should be free. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and address the human-rights aspect directly—for example, distinguish a basic free allowance from charges for excessive use. This would make the argument more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning “To commence” and “Beside,” and a concluding paragraph. The main points are generally grouped by topic, so the reader can identify your argument about waste and pollution. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The link between pollution, climate alteration, drought and flooding is asserted rather than explained, and “This all are occurred” does not make the reference to the preceding ideas clear. Some linking phrases, including “Finally to conclude” and “However,” are mechanical or do not show the intended relationship. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph follow a clear sequence: claim, explanation, and relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “precious,” “wastage,” “water resources,” and “stringent laws,” and you communicate the general subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, such as “isuue,” “staed,” “surrond,” and “resourse.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “water supply to every home should be free of cost” and “climate altertion is noticed.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “charge households,” “conserve water,” and “water pollution” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated references to “masses” and “individuals.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional idea (“If they do so…”) and a concession in the conclusion (“even though…”). However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “water is provide to home” has an incorrect verb form and missing article, while “the they consume it” contains an extra word and an unclear subject. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “majority of masses washing their cars” and “This all are occured.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check verb forms, articles, and singular/plural agreement. Breaking longer ideas into shorter sentences will also improve control.
