Student answer (Band 6.5)
Water is a basic necessity to sustain a quality life. A great many people argue that supply of clean water, without any cost should be available to every home. Although it can cost governments a lot I totally agree with that argument, because having free access to clean water can have several benefits for public country's public.
Governments worldwide spend a significant chunk of their budget towards healthcare of their citizens, providing access to clean water should be should be seen as the part of that. People from all over the worlds, especially developing countries suffer from diseases like Cholera and Hepatitis, major cause of which in most cases is contaminated water. A number of diseases can be prevented and ultimately eliminated if clean water is available for the citizens. Therefore investing in water filtration plants and development of infrastructure to transfer the treated water to residential areas should be seen as an investment in the health of the citizens.
A healthy public mean productive workforce. If a signifcant proportion of a country's population is suffering from common diseases caused by consumption of contaminated water, simply becasue they cannot afford to pay for clean water supply, it can affect the economy of that country. This results in a workforce which cannot work to the best of their abilities, consequently hindering the growth of the economy.
To conclude, I would say it may seem costly to set the systems in place but the investment of time and capital is totally worth it, becasue it will have health benefits for the citizens of the country which will eventually benefit the economy of the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that homes should receive clean water without charge, and the conclusion restates this view. The response gives relevant reasons, particularly the link between contaminated water, disease and healthcare costs, and the further effect of poor health on workforce productivity. These points address the task and show some development. However, the economic argument is less fully explained than the health argument, and the essay does not explore what “free” provision would mean in practice—for example, how governments might fund it or whether basic household use should be free. Adding a specific example and developing these implications would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present health and economic reasons, and a conclusion summarises the argument. The progression from public health to productivity is logical, and linking expressions such as “If” and “consequently” help show cause and effect. Some connections are less smooth, however. The opening sentence of the second body paragraph, “A healthy public mean productive workforce,” is abrupt and does not clearly link back to the preceding discussion. The phrase “This results” also has a broad reference, so the reader must infer exactly what causes the economic effect. Use clearer transitions and explicit references to connect each stage of your reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “water filtration plants,” “infrastructure,” and “productive workforce.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show an attempt to use more specific language. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “public country’s public,” “a significant chunk of their budget towards healthcare,” and “development of infrastructure to transfer the treated water.” Spelling slips, including “signifcant” and “becasue,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for funding and water distribution would help you express the argument with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures: “If a significant proportion … is suffering …, it can affect the economy.” This gives the argument some variety, and the main meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, however. In “providing access to clean water should be should be seen,” the verb phrase is duplicated; “A healthy public mean” has a subject–verb agreement error; and “the part of that” needs a more accurate article or construction. There are also punctuation and sentence-boundary issues, such as the missing space after “citizens.” Review agreement, articles and proofreading, while retaining the complex structures you are already attempting.
