Student answer (Band 5.5)
Every human being has the right to have a pure water supply in their houses. I strongly belive that everyone should get clean water in their houses and it should be free of costs.
To begin with, clean water is needed to prevent water born deseases. In the past we have seen humans have sufferd badly due to lack of pure water. deasies like cholerha had cost many lives. Even in this days in many parts to the world such as in Africa people are suffering from lack of pure drinking water. Therefore, govermenst should take necesessary steps to give pure watar supply to the people of their countries
Moreover, water is necessary to mantain good haygine. We need water to clean ourselves along with our tools that we use everyday. For instance in countries such as in Bangladesh people often suffer from insufficiant supply of water in their houes as a result they skip their showers and left their dishes days for cleaning.
Furthermore, we have abundent amount of water on our planet. Even coutries like Saudi Arabs are making pure drinking water out of salt water. We have the techonology there should be no reason, that we suffer from lack of clean water. As for costs, water is free in nature and it is a fandemental right for humans thereby it should be free of any cost.
To sum up, govenments around the world should ensure the proper supply clean water to every houses of their countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly support free clean water for every household, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including preventing waterborne illness, maintaining hygiene, and the possibility of desalination. However, the response addresses the task only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that water is “free in nature” does not address the costs of treating and delivering it, and the desalination example is not connected clearly to how a free household supply could be funded. The Bangladesh example supports the hygiene point, but needs more explanation. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop the reasoning and address practical costs directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, three body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion summarises your position. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” helps readers follow the sequence. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with each paragraph introduced by a similar transition, and some links between claims are not fully clear. For instance, the move from desalination technology to the conclusion that water should be free needs an explicit explanation. The final paragraph also repeats the main position without adding a synthesis of the reasons. Use transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas, and connect examples more directly to the point they illustrate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “water supply,” “prevent,” “insufficiant supply,” and “salt water,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, spelling errors are frequent and sometimes make reading difficult, as in “belive,” “deseases,” “cholerha,” “govermenst,” and “techonology.” There are also inaccurate or unnatural word choices and collocations, such as “free of costs,” “water born,” and “abundent amount of water.” These issues limit the precision and control of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common combinations such as “waterborne diseases,” “an abundant supply,” and “free of charge.” Aim to use accurate topic vocabulary rather than repeating “pure water” throughout.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “as a result they skip their showers” and a relative clause in “tools that we use everyday.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but there are frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “goverments should take … steps to give pure watar supply” is missing an article before “supply,” while “they skip their showers and left their dishes” shifts tense within the same clause. The opening also needs a more accurate construction: “everyone should get clean water in their houses” is awkwardly structured. Practise checking each sentence for complete grammatical patterns, consistent tense, and correct singular or plural forms.
