Student answer (Band 5.0)

The topic of whether clean water is a basic human right has sparked the consderable debate. Some believe that everyone should get clean water access that is free of cost, while others argue that. In my opnion, I strongly believe that clean water is crucial part of lif . In this essay i will support my opnion with examples.

To intiate this discussion, I strongly agrees that pure water is necessary for every individuals. if someone drink freshwater it will good for someones health as well. Government should have to take strong action on this to keep freshwater available for every citizen of society. Furthermore, freshwater will keep everyone healthy. A good example of this, Safe and hygenic water is cucial for human body.In slum areas, the individuals, who drink dirty water are more prone to disease.

Another reason is that, if fresh water is cost free then everyone should be healthy. It will not burdenise the society. Fresh water will keep away from hospitals. Someone cannot live without drinking water, because people need water for thier survival. And if it will provided free of cost than everyone can drink it. It access should be available for all of individuals. To illustrates this, I will say that poor people cannot afford fresh water becasue of their other basic needs. That will results into financiall stability.

The other people who argue that they thought if fresh water will not cahrged than it will have huge burden on government. It will difficualt for government to pay for whole country, so everyone should have to pay minimum amount. Moreover, its diffcult for governemnt to mange others stuff.

To put in a nut shell, i pen down saying that purewater is a basic human need. To keep citizerns healthy its crucual to drink safe water. It will keep them healthy.at the end its essential for human survival.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that clean water should be available to everyone, and you support this with relevant points about health, survival and affordability. The example of people in slum areas being more prone to disease helps connect access to water with public health. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: the claim that water should be free is not consistently distinguished from the claim that it should be accessible, and the opposing view about government costs is introduced but not answered. Several points, such as free water making everyone healthy, are asserted rather than explained. Develop fewer ideas more fully, and make your position on whether every household should receive water without charge explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a paragraph presenting the opposing view, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Furthermore,” “Another reason,” and “To put in a nut shell” help signal movement between points. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the discussion shifts from health to hospital costs and then to affordability without explaining the links. Some connectors are repetitive or awkward, and references such as “It” and “That” do not always make clear which idea they refer to. Improve cohesion by organising each paragraph around one main point, then explaining and illustrating it in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “freshwater,” “survival,” and “financial stability,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “burdenise the society,” “keep away from hospitals,” and “financiall stability.” Spelling errors—including “consderable,” “hygenic,” and “cahrged”—also make the writing less precise. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than trying to use unfamiliar wording: for example, explain that access to safe water can reduce illness and healthcare costs. Check spelling and word forms carefully during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if fresh water is cost free” and a relative clause in “the individuals, who drink dirty water.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “I strongly agrees,” “if someone drink,” “it will good,” and “if it will provided.” Articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries also need attention; for instance, “Safe and hygenic water is cucial for human body.In slum areas” runs two sentences together. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for agreement, tense, articles, and punctuation.
