Student answer (Band 5.5)
Approach to pure water is a common living need. That why all the houses should have a water supple that would not be charged. All the humans of the world need their common rights which is also their basic need. In the essay, I will discuss that need of humans and give my point of view.
Water is the basic need for all the humans or any living creature living in the Earth almost all of the living organisms including humans composed of water, we need fresh water to survive in this world we can live without food for days but we cannot survive without any water we will die from our thirst. Such as, our body consist of 70 percent of water and 30 percent of other organic and inorganic compounds which are also dissolved in water so we can say that it is impossible to survive without water. Secondly, if all the population is not provided with pure fresh water that will be violation of basic human rights which implement on all the people across the whole world. For example, violation of a right of single person in this world is violation of rights of all the people along the world.
As we know that almost all of the world comprises of water in the form of different water bodies like ocean, river, lakes, and ponds, but locating pure consumable water is very difficult and seem like almost impossible to do and in some region of the world people survive on dirty water like many parts of Africa there is no pure water available and because of this they are facing much health issues that cause many death in these areas and they die from the diseases that are eliminated from the whole world many years ago. Like that of polio, malaria, and many more diseases.
In my opinion, the world government and many international organizations should work together to eradicate this global issue from the world which is in the list of top issue all over the world. For instance, the World Health organization should work with the government of these countries and should do their best to clean the world by planting many filters and water plants.
In the conclusion, not only the government or organization but this issue needs to be studied any eliminated at individual level so that we can save our brother all over the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in favour of providing clean water and give relevant reasons, including the health consequences of unsafe water and the responsibility of governments and international organisations. These points address the topic, but the response only partly develops the central question of whether household water should be free of charge. Much of the discussion explains why clean water is essential, rather than considering how free provision could work or addressing possible costs and alternatives. The claim that a rights violation affecting one person violates everyone’s rights is also asserted without explanation. To strengthen the response, state your position more precisely and develop two or three reasons with specific examples linked directly to free household supply.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs about water’s importance and scarcity, a recommendation, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Secondly,” “For example,” and “In my opinion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, and the second body paragraph shifts from the difficulty of finding clean water to disease examples without fully explaining the link to free supply. The conclusion introduces individual responsibility, which has not been developed earlier, so the ending does not fully follow from the main argument. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to your claim, and ensure the conclusion summarises the position and reasons already established.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “basic human rights,” “pure consumable water,” “health issues,” and “international organizations,” so the reader can follow the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “world,” “water,” and “issue,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate. For example, “water supple” appears to mean “water supply,” “planting many filters” is not a natural way to describe installing treatment systems, and “many death” should be expressed with a suitable plural form. These errors sometimes make the meaning less clear. Build precision by learning common collocations for water access, treatment, public health, and costs, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “if,” “which,” and “because,” and you use some linking structures to explain causes and examples. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the meaning. For instance, “That why all the houses should have…” lacks a verb, while “all the humans … need their common rights which is also their basic need” has problems with agreement and clause structure. Several long sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the sentence beginning “Water is the basic need…”. Practise separating ideas into complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and using commas and full stops to control longer clauses.
