Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes, I agree with this statement that every resident home should be provided with a water supply without any charge.
Every country's government should provide their residents with free water supply to their respecitve homes. From my perspective, it is responsiblity of a country government to provide their residents basic fascilites of living. For instance, in third world countries residents of remote areas still don't have supply of water so they have to go to river bare foot daily to get access of water and then they store it in some water tank in their home which make it quite difficult for them. Also, collecting water from river or lakes is also not good for health because that water is contaminated and not good for drinking purpose. So, the government should provide them with the free supply of water on daily basis to prevent them from serious health issues and providing them with basic human rights.
Moreover, countries which don't have enough reserves of clean water should take help from their neighbor countires. For example, some of african countries still have less resources of water and their government can't provide them supply of water. As their is too much of poverty people still don't have access to water. So, other developed countries are helping them continuosly to provide them supply of water.
In conclusion, water is basic human right and its government responsiblity to provide their residents with free supply of water because their residents are giving them taxes and it's their right to recieve free water supply in any circumstances.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you agree that households should receive water without charge. You give relevant reasons, especially the difficulty and health risks faced by people who collect water from rivers, and you connect government provision to basic rights. However, the response develops access to water more fully than the specific claim that supply should be free. The point about poorer countries receiving help from neighbours shifts towards international aid and is not clearly linked to how a free household supply would work. To strengthen the argument, explain who should fund the service, how taxes relate to the cost, or whether free provision should cover all water use or only essential needs. This would make the position more fully supported and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from government responsibility and health to international assistance, and linking phrases such as “For instance,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical, with repeated “So” and “For example,” and the second body paragraph does not clearly connect international aid to the central question of free household water. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as in “As their is too much of poverty,” where the subject of “their” is difficult to identify. Use more precise links between each reason and your position, and organise each paragraph around one clearly explained point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “contaminated,” “remote areas,” “basic human rights” and “poverty.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “respective homes,” “basic fascilites,” “neighbor countires” and “provide them supply of water.” Repetition of “free water supply” and “provide” also reduces flexibility. Aim to use accurate collocations and vary key terms—for example, “provide households with a water supply” or “ensure access to safe drinking water.” Careful proofreading of spelling and word forms would make your meaning clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because that water is contaminated” and a relative clause in “countries which don't have enough reserves.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some sentence structures and agreement patterns are inaccurate. For example, “Every country's government should provide their residents” has a mismatch between the singular subject and pronoun, while “which make it quite difficult” does not agree with the preceding idea. The sentence beginning “As their is too much of poverty” also has an unclear grammatical construction. Work on subject–verb agreement, pronoun reference and building complex sentences around a clear main clause. More consistently accurate sentence patterns would improve control.
