Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, water is become a essential part of human life. It is human's basic need. Some people believe that access to distilled water is basic human right. Although, every home need to provide water supply without any cost. I agree with the statement government's have to povide these facilities for everyone. This essay will discuss both views before giving my opinion.

To begin with, the primary reason why i agree the statement is that clean water is essential for every human being. This is because people can use this water for drinking, washing, cleaning and other household works. Individual use water like it has a crucial part of life. For example, we need a clean water for drinking. People can not compromise that because everyone in the planet can not live without water. Even animals also use water for their daily lives.

Another significant reason is that governements should provide water supply free of charge. This because water is a free supply. No one is paying money to gain water from the universe. Rainy water can be stored in the dams and rivers. These stored we used for our daily lives. It is a natural resource. We do not have to pay for these useful water. For instance, governments have to arrange some facitilies for people who easily get water supply without taking any chrage.

In conclusion, i completely agree that water is a natural resourcese and every home hshould have a water supply without any coast. It is essential for everyone. However, i would say one more thing that people also have to use water as per their need. They do not have to waste water because water is a gold.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that homes should receive water without charge, and the essay gives relevant reasons, including water’s importance for drinking and other household uses. The two body paragraphs also attempt to explain why governments should provide it. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because the central claim that water is a natural resource does not fully establish why household supply should be free. The discussion of stored rainwater and rivers is unclear, and there is little consideration of practical issues such as treatment and delivery costs. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and make the distinction between access to water as a right and the cost of supplying it more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “To begin with,” “Another significant reason” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the response. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “Rainy water can be stored in the dams and rivers. These stored we used for our daily lives” does not clearly connect the natural resource claim to free household provision. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “these” are not always clear. Aim to build each paragraph around one main point, then explain it in a logical sequence; use linking expressions only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic need,” “water supply,” “natural resource” and “free of charge,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “distilled water” where the task concerns clean water, “household works,” and “water is a gold.” Spelling errors such as “governements,” “facitilies” and “chrage” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for the topic, and check spelling and natural word combinations. For instance, describe water as “essential” or “a precious resource,” rather than using an unclear phrase.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including “Although, every home need to provide water supply without any cost,” and use basic clauses to explain your reasons. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “water is become,” “a essential part,” “every home need,” and “This because water is a free supply.” These errors can make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled subordinate clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence structure; for example, “Every home needs a water supply” and “This is because water is a natural resource.”
