Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position with “I am totally agree with it,” and you connect the issue to people’s need for safe drinking water. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain whether all household water should be free, or develop reasons and relevant examples to support that view. The point about people being unable to afford expensive water is relevant, but the discussion is difficult to follow and remains undeveloped. The response also contains 114 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250 words. To strengthen your answer, explain your position, give two developed reasons, and include a specific example, such as the effect of water charges on low-income households.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces clean water as important, and the next section refers to government provision and affordability. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear progression, and the long second section combines several points without showing how they relate. For example, the shift from doctors approving water to people drinking water that may contain bacteria is abrupt. The repeated use of “the water” and “people” does little to guide the reader, and there is no clear concluding statement. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each reason, and your conclusion, and connect each point with clear links such as “firstly,” “as a result,” and “therefore.”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary includes some relevant topic words, such as “essential,” “afford,” “expensive,” and “bacteria,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear. For instance, “the water which is passed by the doctors” does not clearly express what kind of water you mean, while “at every gate” is not an appropriate way to describe household access. Spelling and word-form errors, including “now a days” and “purely clear,” also reduce precision. Build a small set of accurate phrases for this topic, such as “safe drinking water,” “water supply,” and “affordable access,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express connected ideas, but sentence structures are mostly simple or run together, and frequent grammatical errors sometimes make the message difficult to interpret. Examples include “I am totally agree,” where the verb form is incorrect, and “every persons should have to drink,” which has problems with agreement and verb construction. Articles and plurals are also inaccurate in “the one of the main thing,” while the long sentence beginning “The today government” lacks clear punctuation and sentence boundaries. Practise accurate basic patterns first, such as “I totally agree” and “Every person should have access to…”. Then use a few controlled complex sentences with clear punctuation to explain causes and consequences.
