Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often that access to clean water is basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provide free of charge. While some people believe that this is true,I partly agree with view of point. This essay will explain my position by discussing the two main reasons supporting my opinion. The primaray reason I agree is that, individuals all around world need water because without water life would be difficult and even impossible. This is because water is need of every human being. For instance,if people dont have water for drink in that case that would be difficult for them to live more.As a result, they died because water is need of every person all around the world. Therefore, water is necessary for living things. Another compelling argumed is that water is also essential for farming of several crops. In other words, many people in village are related to farming because that is only source of income for them.A good example of this the farmers is totaly depend on water for their crops or any other cultivation. They use water for growing different vegetables such potatos tomatos and several fruits as well.If they dont able to get water then there bussiness is damage badly. As a result people have to suffered for unemployment which is not beneficial for government who responsible for this region. In conclusion,I strongly agree access to clean water is basic human right because water is essential for there life and water is also needed for farming process.Considering these points,I firmly believe that this perspective is the most practical and beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view by stating that you agree, and you offer two relevant reasons: water is essential for human life and for farming. The examples about drinking water and crop production help connect these points to the topic. However, the response does not fully address the proposal that every household should receive its supply free of charge; it mainly explains why water is necessary, without discussing who should pay or how free provision could work. The opening also says “partly agree” while the conclusion says “strongly agree,” so your position is not consistent. The response is 245 words, below the 250-word minimum; 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop the free-supply issue and keep your position consistent.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs each focus on a main reason, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In other words” and “As a result” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes repetitive: the first body paragraph repeats that water is necessary without adding much explanation, while the farming paragraph moves from crops to unemployment and government responsibility rather abruptly. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “A good example of this the farmers…” Use topic sentences followed by a clear explanation and a directly relevant example, and make sure each transition shows the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “source of income,” “cultivation” and “unemployment,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “water,” “need” and “essential.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “primaray,” “argumed,” “totaly” and “bussiness,” as well as unnatural combinations like “farming of several crops” and “water for drink.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “grow crops” and “water for drinking” rather than the less natural phrases in the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a conditional sentence beginning “If they don’t…”. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Examples include “water is need of every human being,” “if people don’t have water for drink in that case that would be difficult,” and “If they don’t able to get water.” Articles, verb forms, agreement and sentence boundaries also need attention: “a basic human right,” “is provided,” and “they die” would be more accurate forms in context. Punctuation spacing is inconsistent, and some sentences run together. Practise building accurate sentences with because, if and although, then proofread each sentence for a complete verb and correct article.
