Student answer (Band 5.5)

Water is essential for every living thing to survive. Fresh water should be accesible to everyone. Beside, that it should be free without any charges. Although, it is every person need but accesive freedom could cause major issues that's why i partially agreed with this.

On the one hand, approach to pure water is every individual right. This is because water is used for every purpose in life such as cooking, washing and bathing. In this era, people cannot compromise on hygiene they take regularly bath to get fresh. Residents aslo use water resources for drinking purpose and there is an amount fixed for drinking clean water daily. Moreover, keeps our digestion clear and prevent us from different type of diseases in the future. Resultantly, if the one one doesnot get the required amount he might face serious health issues in the future.

On the other hand, if it is provided free of cost, no one will take care of it and will consume excessive amount of pure water resources. This is because they knew that there is no pay for it. In some countries to faciliate public water is availabe free os cost, people over here turn on tap water this result into excessive wastage of water.

I believe that a well balanced is required, affordable price will be charged restrict people from wastage of water.

In conclusion, water is a right of every individual but a little amount should be charged to prevent water from wastage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear, relevant position: you partly disagree with free household water and conclude that a small charge is needed to reduce waste. The discussion of water’s role in hygiene and health, followed by the risk of overuse if it is free, addresses both sides of the issue. However, several points are asserted rather than explained—for example, the claim that free water leads people to leave taps running would be stronger with a specific example or clearer explanation. The phrase “a well balanced is required” also leaves your proposed policy unclear: explain how a low, affordable charge could protect access for poorer households. The response is 248 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum; develop your reasoning with a little more relevant support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in argument, and the conclusion returns to your central view. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. In the first body paragraph, the points about bathing, drinking, digestion, and disease are not connected clearly, and “Moreover, keeps our digestion clear” has no clear subject. Some linking expressions are awkward or inaccurate, such as “Resultantly” and “This is because they knew,” which interrupt the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to your argument about access or charging.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “hygiene,” “resources,” “excessive,” and “health issues,” and you attempt to express ideas about both access and conservation. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-choice, and collocation errors make parts of the response harder to understand. Examples include “accesible,” “faciliate,” and “availabe,” as well as “approach to pure water” where “access to clean water” is more natural. Phrases such as “free without any charges” and “affordable price will be charged restrict people” are also imprecise. Aim to use accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your meaning clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea about what might happen if water were free. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. For example, “Although, it is every person need” has an incorrect clause structure, while “Moreover, keeps our digestion clear” lacks a subject and has faulty agreement. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and verb forms, as in “different type of diseases” and “they knew that there is no pay for it.” Punctuation is sometimes misplaced, particularly in the opening and the sentence beginning “I believe that a well balanced is required.” Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using conditionals and subordinate clauses.
