Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this world water is the most essential needing of human being, believing that this should be accessible for everyone and better to give them for free. I totally agree to this statement because this would help them to lessen the bills that they pay every month, and give opportuniy to those homeless to access this for free.
On the one hand, this notion can help to lessen individuals bills that they pay every month. Not all members of society can afford the water bills annually, especially to those individuals with lower-income. Most of them are need to thrives more for their work just to paid their bills, which can not helpful and it may give them stress and additional burden to their lives. For example, the government of United Arab Emirates implement the law which arabian are free to use national water without deduction to their bills.
Moreover, this can also help to those homeless people to use this water for their daily lives. This can facilitate to those homeless, especially in their every day needing. Most of them can get drinkable water, instead of purchasing in store, and it can also give them an opportunity to get a shower everyday, which is essential to their daily lives. For instance, in the philippines homeless are allowed to use national water and access to the public toilet where they can get water and shower.
In conclusion, this essay completely agrees that water should be free and accessible to the public.because this can lessen their bills and many homeless can benefits this notion. Thats why this should be accessible and available for everyone knowing that water is provided by nature and not human.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you agree that water should be free, and you give two relevant reasons—reducing household bills and helping homeless people. The examples about UAE residents and public facilities in the Philippines also relate to the topic. This addresses the main parts of the question, but the discussion focuses more on access to water than on whether every home should receive a free supply. The examples are asserted rather than explained, and the claim that water is “provided by nature and not human” does not fully address the costs of treatment, infrastructure, and delivery. Develop these points and explain how free provision could work to make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and each body paragraph stays focused on its main point. This is a solid organisational foundation. However, some linking is mechanical, and repeated references to “this notion” and “this water” make connections less precise. The first body paragraph also moves from household bills to work-related stress without clearly explaining the link. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its example explicit to strengthen progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “water bills,” “lower-income,” “drinkable water,” and “public toilet,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice or collocation errors make the writing sound unnatural: “essential needing,” “lessen individuals bills,” “thrive more for their work,” and “daily lives” used repeatedly. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “opportuniy” and “benefits” in “homeless can benefits.” Aim for more precise expressions and check whether words naturally combine. For example, describe reducing household expenses, struggling to pay bills, and accessing a reliable water supply.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “especially,” and “which.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “Most of them are need to thrives,” “the government … implement,” and “homeless can benefits.” The opening sentence is also structurally awkward, while the conclusion joins two sentences incorrectly after “public.” Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a complete main clause. Greater accuracy in these recurring structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
