Student answer (Band 5.5)
This is an ongoing debate access of clean water is a basic need of life and it should be provided free of cost in homes. In my opinion, its not a good idea I do not agree with this perspectivewith this perspective.
The water is basic neccessity of life and its available every where like in sea, rivers, ponds etc but the clean water is not available. The thing is that, clean water had a cost the government should pay for that in filteration plants, heavy motors, electricity and maintainability. Its required the a lots of hard work for cleanliness to remove the dirt and harmful elements the role of government is vary. However, the government build the water filtration plants in every cities. Moreover, the individuals are responsible for tax.
On the other hand, people who think that water supply is totally free its not a good thing because free things is not be protected like people dont think about the wasting of water. For example, in dosmestic a lots of water was wasted such as in washing dishes, home cleaning and some individuals are washing their car this is the reason too much water is waste like that.
In conclusion, people responsible for water reducing i think, they should pay for that in a monthly fee in a small amount because its the maintaining and labour cost. Finally, free access of water was made the people irresponsible because water is the blessing by god it should not be waste in society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree that household water should be free, and you give relevant reasons, including the costs of filtration and the risk of waste when water is free. The examples of washing dishes, cleaning homes and washing cars help connect the argument to everyday life. However, some points are less fully explained than others. For instance, you mention that individuals pay taxes, but do not clarify how this relates to charging for water or whether taxes could cover some costs. The claim that governments build filtration plants in every city is also asserted rather than supported. Develop the cost argument with a specific explanation or example, and address more directly why a modest fee is preferable to free provision.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from the cost of treating water to the possibility of waste is generally understandable, and linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening repeats “with this perspective,” and the relationship between the tax point and the filtration-cost argument is not made explicit. The second body paragraph also shifts from the general claim about free water to examples without clearly explaining the link. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph’s main point and supporting explanation connect more directly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water filtration plants,” “harmful elements,” “monthly fee” and “maintaining and labour cost,” so the reader can follow the main argument. There is also some attempt to express ideas beyond basic everyday language. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “clean water had a cost” and “water reducing” do not express the intended ideas naturally, while “free things is not be protected” is difficult to interpret. Spelling errors such as “neccessity,” “filteration” and “dosmestic” also affect accuracy. Build a bank of precise phrases for water treatment, household charges and conservation, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because free things is not be protected” and a concluding explanation of why households should pay. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and basic grammar are persistent enough to make some sentences difficult to read. The opening contains a run-on structure and duplicated wording, while “The water is basic neccessity” lacks an article and “the government build” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Verb forms are also problematic in “clean water had a cost” and “water was wasted.” Improve control of articles, agreement and tense, and separate complete ideas with full stops. Practising accurate simple sentences before combining them will make your argument clearer.
