Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is an essential part of a human life. It is a basic human right to get access to the clean and pure water and also it should be provided free of cost. I strongly believe that providing the clean and pure water in every house of the country free of cost is very important factor which needs to be considered by the government because its very important for individuals to drink clean water and also government need to make better arrangements for providing clean water to the people.
Firstly, citizens need to drink clean water to live a healthy life. This is because, if people will recieve dirty and unhealthy water, this will effect their health and make them suffer from different dangerous diseases like malaria and polio etc. Moreover, that will also effect their daily life because if they will be in a bad health, they will not able to even do basic tasks at home or even at work. For instance, if a person do a job and get ill due to the consumption of dirty and unhealthy water then he will not be able to go for work. As a result, if people contineously face this problem then it can lead to losing their jobs and even cause death if disease got severe.
Secondly, its a responsibility of a government to make proper arrangements for providing their citizens clean and pure water. This is because, if the government will perform better implementations for their citizens to help them get fresh and pure water, then people can access clean water and prevent themselves from getting effected by dirty and unhealthy water. For example, if governments will implement good water filtration projects in every city and villages where people can access to pure water free of charge, then it will help people to drink clean water and live a healthy life. As a result, this will prevent large number of individuals to get effected by diseases caused by dirty and unhealthy environment.
To sum up, i believe that drinking clean water is very necessary factor of a human life and should be provided free of charge and for that government play an important role in improving the health of their citizens if they perform their duties sincerly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly support free access to clean water, and the conclusion restates this view. Both body paragraphs give relevant reasons, including the health consequences of unsafe water and the government’s role in providing filtration projects. The example of an ill worker helps connect water quality to everyday life. This covers the task well, but some points are asserted rather than fully explained: malaria and polio are listed without clarifying how they relate to contaminated water, and the proposal that every home receive water free of charge is not weighed against practical considerations such as funding or delivery. Develop one or two examples more precisely to make the argument more convincing and complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “For instance,” and “To sum up” make the progression easy to follow, and each paragraph has a recognisable central focus. This is a solid foundation, though the linking is sometimes mechanical: both body paragraphs repeatedly use “This is because” and “As a result,” and several sentences begin with “if.” Some references are also unclear, such as “that will also effect their daily life,” where the reader must infer what “that” refers to. Use a wider range of transitions and make links between cause and consequence more explicit to achieve smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main argument, with relevant terms such as “water filtration projects,” “citizens,” and “diseases.” However, the range is limited by repeated phrases, especially “clean and pure water” and “dirty and unhealthy water,” and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate. For example, “better implementations” is not a natural way to describe government action, while “effect their health” uses the wrong word for the intended meaning. Spelling errors such as “recieve,” “contineously,” and “sincerly” also reduce accuracy. Build a more varied set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your ideas more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if people will receive dirty and unhealthy water” and clauses beginning with “because.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “if a person do a job” should use subject–verb agreement, and “they will not able to” is missing a verb form. The opening sentence also needs an article in “a very important factor.” Several long sentences combine multiple ideas and become difficult to control. Practise accurate conditional patterns and revise sentences for agreement and completeness; retaining some complex structures while making them more reliable will improve clarity.
