Student answer (Band 5.0)
No doubt, access to clean water is a significant and basic human right. So every home should have provided a water connection without any charge. I completely agree with this statement, this is because through the free water supply people can save their income and can improve their health.
There are many reasons but the main reason is that free clean water access can help to save their income for poor people. Since, majority of people earn few money, they do not have even money spend to purchase clean water. For example, many developed countries, like China, the USA and UK Governments can provided clean water without any cost for their citiziens. Therefore, the Government have responsibility that they should get strong step for provided free clean water for their people.
The second main reason is that through the clean people can improve their health condition. As, clean water play the significant role for maintain human bodies. For instance, many studies explain, clean water is most important for increase the human power and maintain their bodies. Moreover, the africa, where have clean water access, african people face the many health relative issues. As a results, Doctors always recommends their patients to drink atleast 2 littler water in their every day life.
In conclusion, clean water acces is a basic human right and the the Governments should take strong step to provided clean water access in every home without any due and prices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you completely agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give two relevant reasons—protecting low-income people’s finances and improving health. The examples about government provision and health effects help address the question. However, the support is often general or unclear: the claim about China, the USA and the UK is not explained, and the discussion of Africa does not clearly show how free household supply would solve the stated health problems. The final lines also repeat the conclusion rather than adding a developed point. To strengthen the response, explain how free access would benefit households and support each reason with a specific, credible example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The sequence of reasons is also easy to identify, and signposts such as “The second main reason” help the reader follow the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and linking phrases are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “As, clean water play…” does not connect smoothly to the previous point, while the sentence about Africa and the following recommendation about drinking water do not form a clear chain of reasoning. The conclusion is split awkwardly, with a final “because” clause after the main concluding sentence. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and keep each paragraph focused on one developed reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “free water supply,” “income,” and “health condition,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “clean water” and “free.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems, such as “save their income,” “get strong step,” “health relative issues,” “citiziens,” and “littler.” These sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing affordability, public provision and health, and check spelling carefully. Using accurate collocations such as “reduce household expenses” and “take effective measures” would make the argument sound more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “Since” and an example introduced by “For example.” However, the range is limited, and complex structures are often faulty. Errors include “I completely agree with this statement, this is because,” which joins two independent clauses incorrectly, and “clean water play,” where the subject and verb do not agree. Other examples include “the Government have responsibility” and “Doctors always recommends,” showing inconsistent agreement. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly attached supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement and punctuation. These recurring errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow.
