Student answer (Band 5.5)
The another name of water is life. Access to pure water is a fundamental human right. I think the government should supply clean water to residences in free of charge.
Initially, i want to demonstrate the uses of water in our daily life. We drink water. Our body is made of water and the proportion is 70%. Human should drink atleat 2 litter water per day. If we do not follow this rule, we can get dehydrated. Besides, clean water is essential for us. If people drink impure water can be infected by various virus and consequently become sick. Additionally. water is necessary to animals, birds, plants as well as different kind of creatures. In some homes, people have pets such as dogs, cats, birds, and so on. Furthermore, we use water to clean ourselves. If we apply unclean water for this purpose, our skin can be infected also. Human use water to cook food. Pure water is also important in this matter. Moreover, there are plenty uses of water in our daily life.
Additionally, i desire to illustrate severe sources of clean water. We can get pure water in deep inside of our earth. But it is expensive. We can use deep well to find drinkable water. Human can use rain water also. Rain water is safe to use. Rain depends on the weather. We can not depend on rain water for our daily work.
I live in Bangladesh. It is overpopulated country. There is a crisis of clean water in our country. We are developing country. Because of this over population, government face lots of obstacles to improve the lifestyle of the population. Bangladesh is a country of rivers. There are almost 700 rivers. Nevetheless, we cannot use the water from the river beacuse the industrial and domestric wates are threw into the river. That's why, water get polluted and become unuseable. This crisis is happing all over the world. As pure and drinkable is essential for our existence, government has a duty to supply clean water to ever home.
In conclusion, i want to say that we cannot pass a day without water. Moreover, clean water is not easy to get. Besides, it is basic need of human. So, the authories of any countries should develop a rule so that people can get access to clean water in free of charge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that government should provide clean water to homes free of charge, and the discussion of health, household use, and Bangladesh’s water pollution is relevant. The example of industrial and domestic waste entering rivers helps connect the issue to your own context. However, much of the first body paragraph lists uses of water rather than explaining why these points support free provision. The discussion of wells and rainwater also does not fully address who should pay or how a free supply could be managed. Develop a smaller number of reasons with explanation—for example, why access should not depend on household income—and support your position consistently throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, paragraphs on water’s uses and sources, a Bangladesh example, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a general route through your ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is often list-like: the first body paragraph moves from drinking to animals, washing, and cooking without grouping or developing these points. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “Besides” are repeated and sometimes do not show a precise relationship between ideas. The paragraph about water sources also feels separate from the argument about free household supply. Group related points, use topic sentences that advance your position, and make links between paragraphs clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “fundamental human right,” “dehydrated,” “industrial,” and “polluted,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “in free of charge,” “deep inside of our earth,” “severe sources,” and “unuseable”; “wates,” “happing,” and “domestric” are also misspelled. Repeated use of “water,” “clean,” and “people” further limits variety. Build a more precise set of topic phrases, such as “safe drinking water,” “water infrastructure,” and “contaminated rivers,” and check spelling and common word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, particularly with conditional clauses such as “If we do not follow this rule, we can get dehydrated” and “If people drink impure water…”. These show an effort to express cause and consequence. However, the range remains limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “If people drink impure water can be infected” lacks a clear subject in the main clause, while “government face” and “water get polluted” have agreement problems. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “Additionally. water…”. Practise complete conditional sentences and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation during revision.
