Student answer (Band 5.5)

Clean water is a significant essential need for a human. Hence, ,every human being ought to implement for water supply with out any charge. Globally, due to rapid development of factories the water reservoires are polluted. I completely agree with this Additionally the authorities must consider this essential and free of cost.

Firstly, clean water is a survival instint for a human. The health condition manily depends on the quality of water. However, clean water restricts diseases and maintain clean routine. For a instance, according to WHO reports a human body contains 60% of water and 80% of diseases will prevented by taking clean water. It is clear that globally, the authorities must take reponsiblity to deliver clean water, even every corner of the world.

Secondly, every human being can not able to afford drinking water because some places charges for drinking water due to drought conditions and arid environment. Many urban areas and due to the industrial development the water reservoirs like lakes, ponds, and rivers were polluted. This make more challanging to filter the water and deliver to people. According to World Water Research reports it shows whole water system will pollute by 2040 and this will lead to depletion of natural drinking water. Hence, it takes more time and effort and work to filter the water.

In conclusion, to obtain clean water firstly we must save the water reservoirs and start water conservation methods. Additionally, the authorites must deliver free drinking water to every human to save the humanity and protect from consequences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you completely agree that clean water should be provided without charge, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons. You explain the links between water quality, health, pollution and the cost of treatment, and the conclusion returns to your main view. This addresses the task, but some points are more fully developed than others. The health paragraph includes claims about the proportion of water in the body and disease prevention, yet does not explain how these support free household provision specifically. The second paragraph raises affordability and pollution, but the claim that the water system will be polluted by 2040 needs clearer explanation or a more directly relevant example. Develop each reason with a clear link to the proposed free supply.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion summarises your position. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow this structure. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “However, clean water restricts diseases” does not express a clear contrast with the preceding sentence, and “Many urban areas and due to the industrial development…” makes the relationship between pollution and urban areas difficult to follow. The conclusion also introduces conservation, which is relevant but not fully developed earlier. Use linking words to show precise relationships, and make sure each sentence connects clearly to the paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “water reservoirs,” “drought conditions,” “arid environment,” “conservation methods,” and “depletion.” These choices show an attempt to discuss environmental and public-health issues. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “water,” “human,” and “clean,” and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. For instance, “implement for water supply” does not naturally express the idea of receiving access to water, while “clean routine” is unclear in this context. Spelling errors such as “reservo ires,” “challanging,” and “reponsiblity” also affect accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for access, treatment, affordability, and public provision, and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because some places charges for drinking water” and a result clause beginning “this will lead to…”. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include “every human being ought to implement,” “the health condition manily depends,” and “This make more challanging,” where sentence structure, agreement, or verb form needs correction. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “For a instance” and the opening sentence’s punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, and punctuation in each sentence.
