Student answer (Band 5.5)
Having clean water to drink is a basic right of every person and that's why everyone have access to clean water and that too free of cost. I agree with the above statement because it will keep the people away from different diseases caused by filthy water and there will be a healthy labor force that could contribute alot to the prosperity of the world.
To begin with, having clean water to drink means absence of diseases. There are many diseases that occur only by the intake of unclean water like kidney stones and worms in the gut. These diseases may be curable but still not to be tolerated. The occurrence of these diseases will have an impact on the overall well being of the society as well as there will be few people in good health who could work for the society. So, this reason only is strong enough to make sure that everyone has clean water to drink.
Furthermore, as the population of a country would be unhealthy due to harms occurred to them by taking unlean water, there would be some financial issues also. Unhealthy people will not be in a great position to work and this way the production process in a country would affect, leading the country towards financial chaos. There would be inflation, unemployment and other relevant issues. So again, the availability of clean water through water supply for every home os something worth considering.
To conclude, availability of clean water to every citizen of a country is a must as it will keep that country away from health and financial issues that occur just as a result of drinking unclean and contaminated water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that households should receive clean water free of charge, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You give relevant reasons, linking clean water to disease prevention and to a healthier, more productive population. However, the response does not fully develop the central issue of providing water free of charge: most of the discussion explains why clean water matters, rather than why households should not pay or how free provision could be justified. Some claims, such as kidney stones being caused by unclean water and the prediction of inflation and unemployment, are asserted without explanation or a specific example. Develop the affordability or public-responsibility argument and support claims more carefully to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from health effects to economic consequences is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help identify each stage. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical because paragraphs repeatedly end with a similar summary (“So, this reason only…” and “So again…”). Some links between claims are also under-explained: the move from poor health to “financial chaos,” for example, would benefit from a clearer chain of reasoning. Use referencing and transitions more flexibly, and make each paragraph build its argument rather than simply restating its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related terms such as “contaminated water,” “diseases,” “production process,” and “unemployment.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “clean water,” “unhealthy,” and “issues,” and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “absence of diseases” is too absolute for the intended meaning, “harms occurred to them” is awkward, and “the production process … would affect” does not express the intended result naturally. There are also spelling errors, including “unlean” and “alot.” Aim for more precise alternatives and check spelling; this will make your argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “as,” and “that,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement and verb forms. For instance, “everyone have access” should be “everyone has access,” while “the production process … would affect” needs a suitable passive form, such as “would be affected.” The phrase “as well as there will be few people” also joins ideas awkwardly and needs a clearer clause structure. There are some long sentences whose punctuation and construction make the reasoning harder to follow. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and forming conditional or passive clauses accurately while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
