Student answer (Band 6.0)
Life and creation started from a cell which is 80% water to make living comfortable water is very essential for living. Accessibility to clean water is the basic right of every human being which is undeniable. I partially agree with this statement because of its misuse, overuse, and its scarcity.
On one hand, the equal distribution of clean water is quite tough challenge for government. This mega project needs a huge budget, many under developing countries cannot afford these projects mainly because of their fluctuating economic conditions. So, people living in slums or even cities they drink and use contaminated water which can cause multiple diseases for instance, Cholera, Dysentery and many others. This poor condition would leads to unhealthy population.
On the other hand, People need water to drink, to cook, and to clean, these are the very basic needs of every individual. Clean water is just 1 to 2% on this earth to use this effectively and long-term people just have to use it very wisely, over-use led us toward water scarcity. For example people watering their lawns and plants without need and washing their cars even they are not dirty these habits of wasting water shall not be tolerated by the law, to avoid misuse of water.
Conclusion. Water is very abundant element but it is rare too, their is no life without it. Their is only one possible solution, which is using it wisely and saving it for our next generations. It is the responsibility of the government to provide water to every citizen, because this is the best thing which every human deserves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you partially agree, and you discuss both the difficulty of providing water and the need to conserve it. The points about contaminated water causing disease and wasteful uses such as washing clean cars are relevant, with examples that help explain your view. However, the response does not fully resolve the central question of whether household water should be free. The discussion of government costs suggests a reason against free provision, but this is not clearly distinguished from the responsibility to ensure access. The conservation argument also focuses on restricting waste rather than explaining how charging households would help. Develop these links and clarify what “free” should cover to make the argument more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. “On one hand” and “On the other hand” signal the shift between the challenges of provision and the need to conserve water, so the reader can follow the main line of thought. Some connections are less clear, however. The first body paragraph moves from government costs to contaminated water without explaining how free household supply relates to either point, and the second moves from basic needs to scarcity and legal restrictions quite abruptly. The conclusion repeats the importance of water but does not clearly restate the partial-agreement position. Use clearer links between each claim and your answer, and make paragraph progression less dependent on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “fluctuating economic conditions,” “water scarcity” and “over-use.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the examples of diseases and household waste make the discussion specific. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural expressions that reduce precision, such as “equal distribution” where you mean access to a household supply, and “clean water is just 1 to 2% on this earth,” which is unclear and imprecise. “Mega project” is also too informal for this argument. Aim for more accurate collocations and avoid claims whose wording makes their meaning uncertain; this would make your vocabulary more flexible and appropriate to an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “because of its misuse, overuse, and its scarcity” and a relative clause in “which can cause multiple diseases.” The main meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in sentence boundaries, agreement and verb forms remain. For example, the opening joins several ideas without clear punctuation, “This poor condition would leads” has an incorrect verb form, and “their is no life” uses the wrong form of “there.” Capitalisation after “On the other hand” and punctuation around introductory phrases are also inconsistent. Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long or joined clauses into complete sentences. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
