Student answer (Band 5.0)

Arguing about if accessing clean water is basic human right, will get most of us down to the same conclusion, but there are some unanswerd questions that I will be discussing in this essay.

On the one hand, of course, it should not even be discussed that clean water is simple individual right, because there are lot of precedents, when because of posinous and dirty water population has decrease and there has been substantial amount of overwhelming number of diseases including: Cholera, Typhoid fever, Dysentery and etc. Safe water is absolute foundation of human healthcare, survival and prosperity.

According gto World Health Organization Access to clean water prevents Fatal infections and reduces child mortality.

But, on the other hand, there is a question:How do we know that water we are using is safe enough to prevent waterbone illness? there are sensory checks, home testing kits and proper purification habits. We can look, smell and taste it, but we are not guaranteed that it is 100% safe.

To encapsulate all the statements mentioned above, I can conclude that, water is necessity to every living organizm on this earth, that is why we should take care of it, make sure that contaminated water will not circulate and spread deadly diseases. We must verify water safety through testing and sensory checks. when in doubt boiling and proper filitration are essential habits to guarantee safe consumption and protect our well-being. Clean water is fundametal human right. Universal access to safe water ensures global equality for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You recognise the importance of clean water and state a relevant position in the conclusion: “Clean water is fundamental human right.” However, the central question is whether every home should receive its water supply free of charge, and this is not directly answered or supported. Most of the essay discusses water safety, disease prevention, and testing rather than the costs, provision, or fairness of free access. The opening also says there are “unanswered questions,” but the essay does not develop a clear agree-or-disagree argument around them. To strengthen the response, state your position explicitly and give reasons and examples focused on free household supply, such as affordability, public funding, or responsible use.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, body discussion, and conclusion, and transitions such as “On the one hand” and “on the other hand” signal a change in direction. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the two sides do not form a clear debate about free water: the second body paragraph shifts to how people can test water safety. The conclusion then introduces further recommendations about boiling and filtration rather than drawing together an argument about the task. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, and the paragraph beginning “According to World Health Organization” is very brief and disconnected from the surrounding reasoning. Organise the body around two directly relevant reasons, and use clear topic sentences and references to connect each example to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “substantial,” “mortality,” “contaminated,” and “universal access,” which helps communicate the subject. However, several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spellings reduce precision: “simple individual right,” “overwhelming number of diseases,” and “waterbone illness” are unclear or unnatural in context. There are also conspicuous spelling errors such as “unanswerd,” “posinous,” and “filitration.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the general topic, but they make the expression less controlled. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common combinations such as “a basic human right,” “a large number of diseases,” and “waterborne illnesses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example the sentence beginning “because there are lot of precedents,” and the final sentence about universal access. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries recur. Examples include “Arguing about if accessing clean water is basic human right,” “there are lot of precedents,” and “population has decrease.” The sentence beginning “According to World Health Organization” is also not integrated as a complete sentence, while punctuation around questions and commas is inconsistent. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise building complete sentences with accurate articles and verb forms, then proofread for sentence boundaries and punctuation.
