Student answer (Band 5.5)
The supply of clean water is a basic human right, it is essential to provide every indvidual this need free of cost. I partially agree with notio this that provision of free distill water is farmost need of every man.
water is one of the basic nacessity of human life and pure water is significant for physical health as well as for paramount requirement of daily human activites. There are many diseases that are casused by contaminated water, even some are realy proved fatal for our lives. as water is part and parcel of our life, it should be delivred without any monetary charges. If it is charged, it mean poor people cannot afford it and use of unhealthy water will make them weak and unfit for physical effort. Water charges can exert financial burden for deprived family.
while considering the other perpective, in face of modern industrialization and rapid development, the maintainence of clean water resouces demand huge cost of implatation of filter plants to purify water and then tranporting water to all people. Therefore chrging the price of water enable the concerned water supply authorites to bear the cost of provision of clean water. The plants that are installed to sterlize water and make it fit for human use are very expensive to be installed. The cost of supplying water enable to expand the services of clean and healthy water to remote and rural areas also.
Inconcusion, no doubt water is basic need and essentailfree of cost can effect its for maintainence of human life but making its quality.so it should be charged but charges should be affordable by all indviduals. so supply of clean water make all healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear final position: clean water should be charged for, but remain affordable. Your reasons are relevant, including the health risks of contaminated water and the costs of treatment and distribution. The example of extending services to remote and rural areas also supports your argument. However, the opening says you “partially agree,” which is not fully consistent with the conclusion that water “should be charged”; clarify whether you agree with free provision, affordable pricing, or a basic free allowance. Some points, such as the effect of charges on poor households and the costs of water plants, are asserted rather than explained in detail. Develop these ideas with a specific example or clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces a position, presents the case for free water, considers the costs of provision, and concludes with a compromise. Transitions such as “while considering the other perspective” help signal the shift between arguments. However, the progression is sometimes weakened by unclear links between ideas, and the conclusion is difficult to follow because several points are compressed into one sentence. Some connectors, including “therefore” and “so,” are used mechanically, while punctuation and paragraph boundaries do not consistently guide the reader. Make the position explicit in the introduction, give each main argument a clear topic sentence, and use shorter concluding sentences to show how the two sides lead to your final view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “contaminated water,” “financial burden,” “industrialization,” and “remote and rural areas.” These choices show an effort to discuss health, infrastructure, and affordability rather than relying only on basic terms. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are frequent enough to make parts of the response less clear, as in “distill water,” “cost of implatation,” and “sterlize water.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “paramount requirement of daily human activites” and “water charges can exert financial burden.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Reusing a precise term such as “water treatment” is preferable to attempting an unsuitable or misspelled alternative.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “If it is charged, it mean poor people cannot afford it” and a longer explanation beginning “Therefore.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, the opening joins two independent clauses with a comma, and “it mean” lacks the correct verb form. The final sentence, beginning “no doubt water is basic need,” is also grammatically incomplete and hard to interpret. Practise separating complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement, and building complex sentences around one clear main clause.
