Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, supply of filtered water has become an important part of every person. In these days, water has been poluted and lack of it everywhere.I completely agree with that clean water supply shoulb be free for every home.
To begin with that one important reason is that every man could nit afford charges of water and it is also an essential part of human life,no one can survive without water. It is clear that,if water cost applied then some who does not afford it,they use polluted water and by using of polluted water they suffer from various kinds of diseases. In pakistan there is no proper medical facilities provided in governments hospitals.
Another significant reason is that if water supplied to every citizen free of cost then a sence of equality creates in which a poor person and a rich poor seems equal. All citizens can use clean water without any cost. For example in some of Europe countries Government provides free water to all homes. As it is a natural resource so,no one get beniftts from this in form of money. It is a big gift from god for every one who lives in the world including animals.Government should provide more funds for clean water and create a special departnment for this porpose.
In conclusion providing of water cost for maintance but government should provide it free of cost because it is important for every man.It is fundamental law for government to provide clean water ti every person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you completely agree that clean water should be free, and you give relevant reasons about affordability, health, and equality. The example of people using polluted water if they cannot pay helps explain the health argument, while the reference to government funding suggests a possible response. However, the ideas are only partly developed: the claim about European countries is broad and not supported with a specific example, and the point that water is a natural resource does not fully explain why household supply should be free. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, which limits the opportunity to develop your reasons and address the issue in greater depth. Explain how free provision could be funded and acknowledge a possible counterargument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Another significant reason,” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from affordability to hospital facilities without explaining the connection, and the equality paragraph shifts from free access to water as a gift from God. Some linking expressions are repetitive or awkward, and references such as “this” in “provides free water” and “this purpose” are not always precise. Build each paragraph around one main reason, then connect each supporting example directly to that reason. This would make the overall argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “polluted water,” “essential part of human life,” “diseases,” “equality,” and “natural resource.” These choices make your main concerns understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions distract the reader, such as “poluted,” “beniftts,” and “a sence of equality creates.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “water cost applied” and “a poor person and a rich poor seems equal.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise wording when discussing public services, affordability and government responsibility. Proofreading spelling and checking phrases in a dictionary or reliable example sentences would improve clarity and make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “if water cost applied then some who does not afford it, they use polluted water.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors make some relationships difficult to understand. Problems include missing or incorrect articles and agreement, as in “every person” and “some who does not afford it,” as well as sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the comma splice in “It is clear that, if water cost applied…” The conclusion also contains an unclear construction: “providing of water cost for maintance.” Practise building accurate sentences with “if” clauses and clear subject–verb patterns, then check punctuation and sentence boundaries.
