Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, clean water has become a matter of considerable debate that the access of clean watter is a basic human right. While some people ignore this topic but, I truely agreed that every home should get a clean water supply and it would be free of cost to everyone.
To begin with, one of the main reasons for this is because not only rural areas are facing the uncleaned water supply it became major issue in the urban area as well, but in urban areas we have that option to install the RO in our home so that we can get the clean filter water but Its not the solution we are looking for, clean water is our right. RO is not the solution it is just the alternate to ignore the main issue.
There are so many people who are suffering from the desease caused by uncleaned water. Those who does not have that much money to install the RO in their home. We should raise our voice so that the government will have to look into this major issue and do something about it.
Therefore, There are some countries where you can drink the tap water which is absolulely safe to drink. So why can't we do something about it afterall this is the basic human right we should get.
In conclusion, although there are so many things, we need to do. I do not have much knowledge, how to make this possible. But there's something we can do. We are the people of this nation and this is our basic right to get the clean water supply in our home and that should be free of cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water free of charge, and you give relevant reasons, including illness caused by unsafe water and the limits of relying on home filtration systems. However, the response only partly develops the task. The claim that water should be free is repeated, but the essay does not explain how a free supply could be funded or address possible objections, such as the cost to governments. The comparison with countries where tap water is safe is relevant but remains general, without a specific example or explanation of what could be learned from them. Develop each reason with a concrete example and explain more fully why free provision is necessary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the central argument. Paragraphing helps separate the discussion of filtration, health effects and safe tap water. However, progression between points is not always clear: the paragraph beginning “There are so many people” moves quickly from illness to people’s ability to afford an RO system and then to government action. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “Therefore” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. The conclusion also repeats the main claim rather than drawing together the reasons. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “unclean water supply,” “government” and “disease,” so the reader can follow the subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “clean water,” “basic right” and “free of cost.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “watter,” “truely,” “uncleaned,” “desease” and “absolulely,” as well as unnatural phrases like “clean filter water” and “ignore the main issue.” These reduce precision and sometimes make the wording less natural. Build a wider set of accurate terms for water quality, public provision and affordability, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including “Those who does not have that much money to install the RO in their home” and the opening contrast beginning “While some people…”. However, complex structures are often incomplete or faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency. For example, “While some people ignore this topic but…” combines two contrasting structures, while “Those who does not have…” is a fragment and has subject–verb disagreement. Other issues include “every home should get” followed by an unclear pronoun in “it would be free,” and inconsistent capitalisation after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement, verb forms and punctuation before adding subordinate clauses.
