Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes, I agree with that as water is the basic need of humans and also its a basic right of humans to provide with water free of cost.

Now a days world facing so many problems, and pollution is one of them. There are many kinds of pollution water pollution one of its types and it’s the major type pollution problem world is facing. Water pollution is the pollution type in which water become contaminated and we are not able to drink it and use for other purposes. Water is becoming the major issue in the world. Now a days water is becoming the major issue some countries in the world even do not have clean water to drink like the areas like Africa and some low ranked mean not very strong finically countries. there is a report that tells us that most of the people specially children died because of shortage of water and food.

I agree with the idea that every house should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. Yes, I know it’s not too easy to supply water to every single house in the city or on large scale but it’s not impossible. We can do this as technology is upgrading in the world. Now there are also some machine or technologies which is very helpful to clean the contaminated water and make it drinkable. I can cost a large amount but I can resolve the water issue.

Moreover, it solves the health issues. So, by this idea we can able to build a public welfare system.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that homes should receive water free of charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water scarcity, pollution, and possible treatment technology. The discussion of contaminated water and the reference to children affected by shortages help explain why access matters. However, the response only partly develops the central proposal. It does not explain how a free household supply could be funded or managed, and the claim that technology can resolve the issue is asserted rather than supported with a specific example. The point about health and a public welfare system is also brief. To strengthen the response, explain the practical benefits and address a likely concern, such as cost or responsible use.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure: an opening position, a paragraph about water problems, a paragraph supporting free supply, and a short concluding point. This gives the reader some organisation, and connectors such as “Moreover” and “So” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the discussion repeats that water is a major issue, while the link between pollution, free household supply, and the final health claim is not always made explicit. Several ideas are crowded into long sentences, and “Now a days” is repeated. Use clearer topic sentences and develop one main point at a time; for example, separate the scarcity argument from the technology argument and explain how each supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water pollution,” “contaminated,” “drinkable,” “shortage,” and “public welfare system,” so the reader can follow the subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated or imprecise, such as “major issue” and “free of cost.” Some word combinations are unnatural, including “low ranked… countries” and “solve the health issues,” which can make the argument less clear. Aim for more precise terms and natural collocations, such as describing countries as “low-income” and explaining that clean water reduces “waterborne disease.” Check spelling and word forms as well, including “financially” and “machines,” to make your meaning more reliable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and some ideas are understandable, such as “I agree with the idea that every house should have a water supply…” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “world facing so many problems” needs a subject and verb (“the world is facing…”), while “water become contaminated” needs agreement (“water becomes contaminated”). The sentence beginning “There are many kinds of pollution” is incomplete or poorly connected, and “I can cost a large amount” appears to use the wrong subject and verb. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses once the basic structure is secure.
