Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is a basic need of human beings. It is a basic human right to have an access to clean and enough water to fulfill their necessity, and everyone should have free of cost water supply in their homes. I firmly agree with the statement, because clean water is essential for good health and it should supply at every home without any charge so that people of every community can spend a healthy life without diseases.
On the one hand, water is a basic necessity and a blessing of nature for all the creatures on the earth. It is a basic human right to have supply of clean water on their homes, therefore to prevent them from incurable diseases. For instance, contaminated water may bring serious diseases such as Hepatitis is an untreatable disease that is very common in underdeveloped countires. Moreover, polluted water can effect the toddler's health and can cause to damage their immunity system.
On the other hand, it is a crucial issue to have clean water supply on every house of the community without any discremination and without any cost globally. It is a basic necessity for people to have an access of claen water into their faucets free of cost. It may prevent them from unbeatable diseases. For instance, in underdeveloped countries, water is insufficient in rural area such as in Pakistan's Thal and desert areas, people do not have sufficient amount of water. They drink contaminated water at the same places where animals drink water. Consequently, they suffer from severe illness and incurable diseases that causes death.
To sum up, clean water is a basic necessity and human right, so water should available in every home of the state. Therefore, people live a safe and healthy life. Governments should pay attention towards the water supply at every home in the country to eradicate the untreatable diseses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you firmly agree that homes should receive clean water free of charge, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant support by linking contaminated water with illness and describing water shortages in rural Pakistan. This addresses the task, but some points are less fully developed than others. The first body paragraph focuses mainly on health risks, while the second repeats the claim that water should be free and gives limited explanation of how free provision would be achieved or why it is a right. The examples would be more convincing if you explained their connection to the proposal and avoided broad claims such as calling hepatitis untreatable. Develop each main reason with clearer explanation and precise supporting detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a concluding summary. The ideas are generally relevant and the reader can follow the overall argument. However, progression within and between paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: both body paragraphs repeat that clean water is a basic necessity and should be free, rather than advancing distinct reasons. Some links are unclear, as in “therefore to prevent them from incurable diseases,” and the conclusion moves quickly from the right to government action. Use topic sentences that identify separate arguments, then connect each example explicitly to its point. Vary linking expressions and use clear referencing so the relationships between claims are easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “water supply,” “rural area,” and “immunity system,” which helps communicate the subject. There is some attempt to use more formal language, but the range is limited by repeated phrases such as “basic necessity,” “basic human right,” and “incurable diseases.” Several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision: “free of cost,” “discremination,” “claen,” and “diseses.” “Untreatable” and “unbeatable” are also not suitable descriptions in these contexts. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for access, affordability, public health, and infrastructure, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “so that,” and “where,” and the main meaning is usually understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, prepositions, verb forms, and agreement. For example, “have an access” should be “have access,” “supply … on their homes” needs a more suitable preposition, and “water should available” is missing a verb. In “diseases that causes death,” the verb does not agree with the plural noun. Some sentence constructions are also awkward, such as “Hepatitis is an untreatable disease that is very common…” after “such as.” Practise accurate sentence patterns and review articles, agreement, and verb forms; this will help you express complex ideas more reliably.
