Student answer (Band 5.0)

At this time we see their is a very big issue for clean water and the clean water is a basic thing to pass the life. Clean water is a basic human right and every home should have a water supply that is provided free to charge. Now I agree this statement and the describe this statement.

Now, water supply is a very big issue in our country because my country have no rules to use a water and some people do not know how to use a water. In some areas I see their is no clean water for drink and once a week people buy a clean water to the government. But I think government gives a clean water for free Because People pay a tax in every thing and government sale the clean water this is not a good thing. In some times I see when any issue to our country government block the clean water for our people these time is very dificcult for people and the some people think how we servive without water. I think government apply the water filter for our people because governemnt provide the clean water in a tanks this is a very bad for our health and use the trucks to supply the clean water every home so that is consume a lot of petrol so I think filter is a very easy way to store aq petrol and provide a clean water for our people.

Moreover, In some areas I see filter and this a very good thing for our people and the some areas I see filter is apply in these areas but people do not care these filter and use a very bad way this is not a good thing. I think when people and government play a good role this is good for people and governement.

In my opinion, I think every people have a right to drink a clean water because when we not the drink a clean water we face a issues for our health and this is not a good.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You state a clear position—“Now I agree this statement”—and give relevant reasons, including the health risks of unsafe water, government responsibility, and the cost of supplying water by truck. These points show an attempt to address the question, but the argument is only partly developed. For example, you say that people pay taxes and therefore water should be free, but do not explain how this would work or distinguish essential household water from unlimited use. The discussion of filters and petrol is relevant, yet its connection to free provision is not made fully clear. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example, and maintain a clear focus on whether the supply should be free.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a concluding opinion, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “In my opinion” signal movement between points. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from water rules to taxes, government restrictions, filters and petrol without clearly linking each point to the central argument. Repeated openings such as “I think” and “In some areas I see” also make the organisation feel repetitive rather than cumulative. Some references, including “these time” and “this,” are unclear, so readers must infer what they refer to. Group related ideas, use topic sentences, and make the relationship between each example and your position explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “water supply,” “government,” “tax,” “filter” and “health,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “very big issue,” “good thing” and “clean water.” Some inaccurate word choices and collocations make meaning less clear, such as “pass the life,” “buy a clean water to the government,” and “store aq petrol.” Spelling errors such as “dificcult,” “servive” and “governemnt” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for water access, public services and costs, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences rely on simple patterns, with occasional attempts to connect ideas using “because,” “when” and “so.” These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often difficult to control. For example, “when we not the drink a clean water we face a issues” has problems with verb form, word order and articles, while “my country have no rules” shows subject–verb disagreement. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “a water” and “every people.” Punctuation and capitalisation are uneven, particularly after sentence openings such as “Moreover.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, verb forms and articles in each sentence.
