Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some people agrue that avaliblity of clean water is basic human right so it should be accessable for every human being free of cost. I fully agree with this statement that this is basic necessity of life for survive, stay healty, and maintaing well being.

The primary reason to provide water without cost is to safeguard public health and reduce inequaltiy in society. When familes with low income are unable to buy costly water they are forced to drink contaminated water that willl cause water born deseases. Acess to free of cost of cost water can naturaly reduce the risk of water born deseses like cholera and typhoid, threrfore elevating government health care system. Furthermore, by providing free water to people will help them to relocate their limited amount of budge into other assential of life like education, housing, health care, and nutritious food which support community to get over of poverty.

In addition to healthcare benifit government invesment in funding for household water infrastucture is crucial for public invesment that will pay off in long run. When people have access to relaible clean water resources that will prevent people from water born deseases and saves substaintial budget which can be used to buy other healthcare equipments and moderniizing piping network. Moreover, healthy population can have more productive work force that can empower nations economy.

In conclusion, I pen down by saying that access to safe water is basic human need that should never depend on someones financial status. Therefor government shoulfd fully take responsibility for provinding and maintaining is vital utility for all citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I fully agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, especially protecting public health and allowing low-income families to spend money on other essentials, and you explain these with examples such as cholera and typhoid. The discussion of a healthier, more productive workforce also supports your view. However, the response focuses mainly on the benefits of free water and says less about why every household should receive it free of charge or how governments could meet the costs. Some claims, such as free water reducing pressure on healthcare, are asserted rather than fully explained. Develop these points with a specific example or a brief qualification to make the argument more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present supporting reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “In addition,” and “Moreover” help signal the progression of ideas. The main points are generally arranged logically, moving from health and inequality to wider economic benefits. At times, however, connections between claims are not fully clear. For example, the sentence about saving money for healthcare equipment and modernising pipes combines several outcomes without showing how they relate. Some transitions also feel formulaic. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and ensure each paragraph develops one central point before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “public health,” “infrastructure,” and “productive workforce,” and these choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent enough to make the writing less fluent and occasionally slow the reader: examples include “inequaltiy,” “deseases,” “invesment,” and “substaintial.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “free of cost of cost water,” “get over of poverty,” and “elevating government health care system.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and proofread spelling carefully. A more controlled range of vocabulary would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional clause in “When families with low income are unable to buy costly water…” and a relative clause in “which support community…”. This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur often and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “by providing free water to people will help them” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “maintaining is vital utility” is missing a possessive or article. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “healthy population can have more productive work force.” Practise building complete clauses and checking articles, agreement, and verb forms in each sentence.
