Student answer (Band 5.5)

As enunciated, many individuals suppose that access to fresh and clear water is a basic human right. so everyone should have a water supply that is provided without charging any money. Nowadays, these issue has become increasingly important worldwide. Although, people have different perspection. I firmly agree with these statement. In this essay, I will discuss both positive and negative effects with logical reasons and suitable example.

To begin with, there are various viewpoints to consider. First and foremost, on the one hand, some humans believes that government have to provide clean water to every household without charging any thing. To explain, government have to work on filteration of water and have to provide it for free to the citizens. For example, government have to install water purifier plants and supply pipes for the all individuals.

On the other hand, some people believe that government have to charge money from the individuals for pure water. To illustrates, government will be in loss if they will not charge any amount from them, and also people will waste high amount of water. For instance, if government will provide water for free people will waste water in high quantity so there will be shortage in water. Even so, these problems can be reduced through proper planning, modern technology, and public awareness. As a result, these drawbacks can be reduced through effective solutions.

To conclude, after considering both positive and negative effects. I firmly believe that government have to provide fresh and clean water for all the individuals for free, it's have more advantages rather than disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water free of charge, and you acknowledge a counterargument about government costs and waste. These points are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that free water could lead to waste is explained briefly, while the benefits of treating water as a right are mostly asserted rather than supported with a specific consequence or example. The proposed purifier plants and pipes describe how supply might be provided, but do not explain why it should be free. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and keep the focus on the extent to which water should be free.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad structure. However, progression within the argument is limited: the first body paragraph repeats the idea of government provision without adding a distinct reason, and the second repeats the point about reducing drawbacks (“proper planning” and “effective solutions”). Some linking phrases are also awkward or contradictory, particularly “First and foremost, on the one hand” and “Although” at the start of a sentence. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it, using fewer but more precise transitions and clearer references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “water purifier plants,” “shortage” and “public awareness,” so the subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the expression unnatural: “fresh and clear water,” “different perspection,” “filteration” and “for the all individuals.” Repeated use of “government,” “provide” and “water” also restricts variety. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than more elaborate wording; for example, use “clean drinking water,” “water-treatment facilities” and “households.” Check spelling and word forms, and choose vocabulary that expresses the argument precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession with “Although” and a conditional example beginning “if government will provide water for free.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “these issue has,” “some humans believes,” “government have to,” and “it's have more advantages”; these show problems with agreement and verb forms. The conditional construction “if they will not charge” also needs a more appropriate tense pattern. Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, as in “Although, people have different perspection” and the conclusion fragment after “To conclude.” Practise subject–verb agreement and accurate conditional sentences, then proofread each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
