Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, clean water has a matter of considerable debate due to its far-reaching impact on individuals and society. While some people hold different viewpoint on this issue, I strongly agree that clean water supply should be free for everyone. There are several reasons to support my viewpoint.
One of the main reason is that water is the basic necessity of humans and animals. Without water the life is very difficult for survivel, and may be very dangerous existing life. Todays, there are some reasons behind shortage of clean water becuase of that industries are expanded and industrial waste are effected the water. If the governments should impose some srict laws for wastege, we save water.
Another compelling reason is that water play a vital role in humans lives. Although free water is difficult to provide every human, we can do it with the help of government and society contribution. For example, the governments make filteration plants for every districts and divisions. From this satrategy we can supply free water every individual and his homes.
in conclusion, water is basic necessaty of human and individuals, so that we need to provide water every individuals and

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the introduction: you strongly agree that clean water should be free. You also give relevant reasons, including water’s importance for survival and the role of government in providing filtration plants. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are brief and not sufficiently explained or supported with a developed example. The discussion of industrial waste and stricter laws shifts towards preventing pollution rather than explaining why household water should be free. The conclusion is incomplete, ending with “we need to provide water every individuals and,” so it does not fully restate your argument. The response is also 54 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason, explain how free provision could be funded, and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “One of the main reason” and “Another compelling reason,” and an attempted conclusion. These paragraph divisions help the reader identify your main points. However, progression is limited because the ideas within each paragraph are not fully connected or explained, and the conclusion stops mid-sentence. Linking phrases such as “Although” and “For example” are used, but the relationship between some ideas is unclear; for instance, the point about industrial waste does not clearly lead to the claim that water should be free. The repeated use of “water” and “government” also makes the flow feel repetitive. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic necessity,” “industrial waste,” “filteration plants,” and “far-reaching impact,” and these choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “survivel,” “becuase,” “srict laws,” and “water play a vital role.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “dangerous existing life” and “society contribution.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “access to safe drinking water,” “water-treatment facilities,” and “public funding” would help express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few different sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “Although free water is difficult to provide” and a conditional idea about governments imposing laws. However, the range remains limited, and attempts at longer structures are often faulty. For example, “water play a vital role” has subject–verb disagreement, while “Although free water is difficult to provide every human, we can do it” has an incomplete or unclear grammatical relationship. Other problems include “One of the main reason,” missing articles in “water is the basic necessity,” and the unfinished final sentence. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence completion.
