Student answer (Band 5.5)

There should be free of cost water availibility to each house because every person has a right to fresh and pure water. In my opinion, this is genuinely true that every living organism needs water for their survival and especially human because most of our body composition is of water. Moreover, Public make payments for their purchases in the form of taxes so providing filtered and fresh water to their homes is authentically necessary.

I agree to the point that water is considered to be the most effective fluid in every living creature mainly, humans because our internal systems need water for normal functions and daily life tasks. Our body organs utilize water to remove toxins and make individual's structure more energetic and fresh.

For instance, Human brain structure comprises in such a way that without water supply upto 72 hours, it will try to suck water from other body parts to compensate the loss.

Moving to the next statement , Supply of water to every home is essential and must be free of cost. It is due to the reason that Government accumulate money from public in the form of taxes so giving water facility to every home is important. Germ free and filtered water can be easily maintain in the houses in more accurate way so that public in them can drink it without worrying about the cost.

For example, There are lot of water Filteration plants impemented in pakistan with proper management to every house so that families and house owners can access it easily.

In conclusion, It is necessary for every individual to consume pure water and the reason is body parts need it the most. In other words, Munciple authorities should provide water to every home without taking any money from house owners because it is their basic human need.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive water without charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water’s importance to health and the role of taxes. The examples about the body’s need for water and water-treatment plants in Pakistan also show an effort to support your view. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim about the brain drawing water from other body parts is not clearly connected to why the supply should be free, and the tax argument is repeated rather than explored. Explain more directly how free provision would protect access for low-income households, and clarify who should fund and manage the service. This would make the response address the issue more fully and develop its main ideas more convincingly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between points. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph focuses on the body’s need for water, while the next shifts to taxes and public provision without a strong transition between the health argument and the policy question. Some linking expressions are also mechanical, and the tax point is repeated in the conclusion. Organise each paragraph around one distinct reason, then explain and illustrate that reason in sequence. Clearer links between claims and examples, along with less repetition, would make the overall argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “taxes,” “filtered water,” “toxins,” and “basic human need,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “internal systems” and “municipal authorities.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which makes some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “free of cost water availability” and “body composition is of water” do not express the ideas naturally; “water supply at no charge” and “the human body is largely composed of water” would be clearer. There are also spelling errors, including “availibility,” “Filteration,” and “Munciple.” Focus on accurate, natural phrases and check spelling, rather than choosing unnecessarily elaborate wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “It is due to the reason that” and a sentence explaining how the body responds to water loss. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make meaning harder to follow. For example, “every living organism needs water for their survival” has a mismatch between the singular subject and pronoun, while “Germ free and filtered water can be easily maintain” has an incorrect verb form. Several sentences also have awkward or incomplete grammatical patterns, such as “our body composition is of water.” Practise building accurate subject–verb structures and checking verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries before adding complex clauses.
