Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is argued by many that clean purify water is a basic human right and every should have a water suplly that is provided free of charge. I compeletly agree with statement because of many reasons which i will discuss in upcoming paeragraphs.

The most compelling reason for believing is that natural resources are essential for everybody because they made by universe. For example, A person who live in a forest they had no restriction in natural resources such as water, tress and species. Moreover, water is a main component of human life because nobody lives without water. For instance, a person who have water supply in their home they can give water to another person without any second thought.

Furthremore, if a person had a free supply of water in their home they can plant a garden of trees in their house and give water freely. To examplify it more, it can also help individuals to save water .

In addition to this, many individuals who have no job or money and they can manage their home cost more difficulty and it gain their difficulties also to fill water bill. Hence, it is also helpful to low income or middle class family person because they have a right on water.

In conclusion, I believe that water is basic human right because it is natural resource and a very important component of a human life to live in. Given this situation it is recommended that it also very helpful for middle class family person to manage their business.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you completely agree that households should receive water free of charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water’s importance to life and the burden of bills on people with low incomes. However, the response only partially develops the argument. The claim that natural resources are “made by universe” does not explain why household water should be free, and the forest example is not clearly connected to the policy in the question. The point about planting trees is also brief and does not show how it supports free domestic supply. To strengthen the response, explain how free access would protect people’s basic needs, and address practical considerations such as who should pay for treatment and delivery.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “In addition to this” help signal new points. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the discussion moves from natural resources to sharing water, then gardening, and then household bills without consistently explaining the links. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the general claim rather than bringing the reasons together. Paragraphing is present, but the second supporting paragraph contains several separate points that would benefit from clearer organisation. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main reason, then explain and illustrate that reason before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “natural resources,” “water supply,” “low income” and “human right,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts less clear, such as “clean purify water,” “water suplly,” “tress” and “fill water bill.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “made by universe” and “manage their business” do not communicate the intended ideas naturally in this context. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than adding vocabulary that does not fit. For example, describe water as “essential for survival” and explain that households may “struggle to afford water bills.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “who,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “A person who live” and “they had no restriction”; these should use matching subjects and appropriate tense. Other sentences have faulty construction, including “many individuals who have no job or money and they can manage their home cost more difficulty,” where the relationship between the clauses is unclear. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “it also very helpful” and the comma after “For example” followed by a capital letter. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, tense and punctuation.
