Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is broadly supportive of free water, and you give relevant reasons, including health, affordability for poorer people, and the possibility of public water points. However, the response only partially develops the central question of whether every home should receive its supply free of charge. The suggestion that people collect water from shops does not fully address the promise of a household supply, and the claim that free water could create jobs is not explained. The opening also repeats the idea that water is a right rather than establishing a precise argument. To strengthen the response, explain how free household provision could be funded and managed, and develop fewer reasons with specific, clearly connected examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, so there is some organisation, and the paragraphs generally focus on related themes such as health and public provision. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the discussion moves from health to jobs and then to water wastage without showing how each point supports the main position. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “Another significant factor,” and “As well as” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. References such as “it” and “this precious source” can also be unclear. Build each paragraph around one reason, explain it in sequence, and use transitions that show the actual relationship between claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “basic needs,” “financial problems,” “awareness,” and “physical health.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “liquid,” “balanced life style,” and “free water supply shops.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “mandotry,” “efford,” and “governement,” and these reduce the clarity and control of the writing. Aim to use precise topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, distinguish between a household water connection and a public collection point, and use natural phrases such as “access to safe drinking water” and “water infrastructure.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For instance, “we individuals rely on water and food it is not only make us” joins clauses without correct punctuation and has an incorrect verb form. In “it will not only give benefits … but also will create jobs,” the parallel structure is not controlled. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement and plurals, as in “one of the most important need” and “every citizens.” Use shorter, complete sentences when expressing a new point, then practise joining clauses with accurate conjunctions and punctuation. Check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms during revision.
