Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, the issue of clean water become a matter of considerable debate, while some people have an opinion ,that it is not provided for free, but i strongly agree with the idea of supply it for free, because it have alot of good benefits for the individulas.

To began with the main core reasons, why i support this openion is because, it is a basic human right to have a clean water for drinking, For example for having a good health, Therefore it is clear that every human should have a clean water supply for free of charge to live healthy, Clean water can be served with making filteration plants in different places and also to tale care of the medcines that will be used for filteration, There must be a lab checkup on the plants which helps to make it sure that the water is fully cleaned and good to drink, it only possible with the efforts of governemnt and the higher authorities that deals with such issues.

Furthermore, another point is consider to support my openion is that, the financial condition of everyone is not at the same point, so its a responsibility of government to take measures that leads to provide clean water for every individual without any charges, For instanse every person have a right to drink clean water and it is only possible when a government add this issue in the budget and make policys to supply it for free,

In Conclusion, i firmly belive that this issue needs to be highlighted, and Clean water is for free to everyone, because its a basic human right Therefore everyones have should have it for free.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that clean water should be supplied free of charge, and you give two relevant reasons—health as a basic right and unequal financial circumstances. The discussion of government responsibility and water-treatment plants also relates to the topic. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The health argument is asserted rather than explained in detail, and the treatment-plant discussion shifts towards how water is cleaned without showing clearly how free household supply would be funded or delivered. The second reason would be stronger with a specific example of how charges affect low-income households. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a relevant example to make the argument more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body sections present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In Conclusion” help signal this progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and several sentences contain multiple ideas joined by commas, making the relationships between them less clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from health to filtration plants and laboratory checks without a clear transition explaining how these details support free provision. Some linking phrases are also followed by awkward punctuation or repeated reasoning. Use shorter, more focused sentences and make each paragraph develop one main reason in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “financial condition,” “government,” and “filtration plants,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There are also attempts to use more formal language, such as “responsibility” and “measures.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less fluent, for example “openion,” “medcines,” “tale care,” and “policys.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “the main core reasons” and “a matter of considerable debate.” Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, and avoid using formal-sounding phrases unless they fit the meaning. A smaller number of well-chosen expressions would make your argument clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “while,” and “when,” and your overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “the issue of clean water become” needs a correctly formed verb, while “it have alot of good benefits” has an agreement problem. The opening sentence also joins several clauses in a way that makes its structure difficult to follow. Articles and plurals are inconsistent in phrases such as “a clean water” and “everyones have.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; check verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during editing.
