Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You clearly take a position in favour of free water, stating, “i preffer to clean water supply free of cost,” and you connect clean water with health and safety. These points are relevant to the question, but the response addresses it only minimally: it does not explain how a free household supply should be provided or consider any reasons against the proposal. The claims about children becoming intelligent and helping the country are asserted rather than supported with a specific example or explanation. The response is also 115 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop your argument. To strengthen it, explain two reasons in detail and add a relevant example, while keeping your position clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a recognisable central line: clean water is important, dirty water harms health, and water should therefore be free. This gives the reader a basic sense of your argument. However, the ideas are presented as one long, largely unpunctuated sequence, with no paragraph breaks or clear stages. Repeated links such as “so thats why thats why” do not show how one point develops into the next, and the shift from health to national success is abrupt. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for your reasons, and a conclusion. Use a small range of accurate linking expressions and make each paragraph focus on one main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “dirty water,” “health,” and “free of cost,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling errors make several phrases difficult to understand, such as “seasion,” “daffinalty,” and “intellegent genration.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, including “whole aeria” and “safe our humanty.” Aim to use accurate, task-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, you could refer to “a reliable household water supply,” explain the “risk of waterborne illness,” and describe the “cost to taxpayers” when discussing how free provision might work.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to connect ideas using clauses, for example, “if we drink dirty water so … effect for our health,” but sentence structures are very limited and the long run-on sentence makes relationships between ideas unclear. Errors in sentence formation and agreement appear throughout, as in “they has right” and “our child makes good health.” Articles and punctuation are also frequently missing, including at the start of the response and between complete ideas. These problems sometimes distort meaning, even though the reader can identify your general opinion. Practise writing short, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately with clauses such as “because” or “as a result.” Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and full stops when editing.
