Student answer (Band 5.5)
Natural resources like a water, it is important for the every human being. Purified water is Necessary for every individual so every country should provide mineral water at free of cost to every citizen. I totally agree with this statement because water is humans basic need, no one can live without it. This essay will explore the valid reasons with an appropriate examples in the ensuing paragraphs.
Water is an essential for every living person. If water is for price then some poor people may not afford a water hence, they might go through life threatening disease so government do not impose any price on it. For instance, many authority supply fresh water without any additional cost, then society easily access it. Consequently, no one has to pay monetary amount to acquire it as result they can not drink harmful water and they survive from typhoid, cholera and, any other stomach disease.
Furthermore, many farmer may not grow sufficient amount of crops effectively without having enough amount of pure water. This is due to the fact that, every crops require good amount of water. As a result, global economy decreases; additionally, it may leads to shortage of grains.
On the contrary, for good quality water, administration have to use a high cost cleaning machine if they not charge some minimum amount from residents then ruling authority might get financial crisis. Therefore, they can not continue a water cleaning activity and residence may not receive a purified water.
In conclusion, although a small charges is needed for good water, the water without toxins and sufficient amount are fundamental needs for humans. So, they can survive from life threatening diseases and lack of food supply.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall position in the introduction (“I totally agree”) and discuss relevant consequences of water charges, including access for poorer households and the effects of water shortages on farming. The conclusion also returns to the importance of safe water. However, the response does not fully sustain its stated agreement: the paragraph beginning “On the contrary” argues that charging residents may be necessary to fund treatment, but you do not explain how this concern can be reconciled with free household access. Some claims, such as the link between free water and avoiding disease, are asserted rather than carefully supported. Develop both sides of this tension and explain what “free” provision would cover, while keeping your position consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Furthermore,” “On the contrary” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression between ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the relationship between the argument for free water and the later case for charging is not resolved. Within the first body paragraph, the chain from free supply to avoiding disease is difficult to follow because several consequences are compressed into one sentence. Use clearer links between cause and result, and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical sequence. More precise referencing would also help readers follow what “it” and “they” refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “purified water,” “life-threatening disease,” “global economy” and “shortage of grains,” and you attempt to express ideas about public provision and agriculture. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “water,” “amount” and “good,” while several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate: “mineral water” does not mean the same as a household water supply, and “at free of cost” is not idiomatic. Phrases such as “survive from” and “financial crisis” also do not express the intended relationships naturally. Build a more precise set of terms for safe drinking water, water treatment, affordability and public funding, and check common word partnerships.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and cause-and-effect forms: “If water is for price then some poor people may not afford a water” and “if they not charge some minimum amount…”. These attempts show an effort to vary sentence structure, but errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “every farmer may not grow” needs a plural or singular form used consistently, and “administration have to use” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also contains several article and sentence-structure errors. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them with “if,” “because” and “as a result”; check agreement and articles during proofreading.
