Student answer (Band 5.0)

A clean water is not just a basic human right but infact it is the most essential requirement for Human Life. The urban areas are still priviledge to have clean water in their homes and work places, but what I see around me is the underpriviledged ones are struggling with basic needs of life.

I am from city where you can rarely find clean water. I remember once back in 2025 a research took place in my area and Dr. Nisaki especially enrolled himself for such research. In the reseach program he informed that laboratory tests have given signs of Staphylococcous bacteria and the water of my area is highly contaminated infact its not suitable for a "Dog" imagine we poeple drink every single day this same water. its sad but undeniable that its the negligiance of Government authories, who should take care of their nation who pay taxes for such basic human needs.

A Government is responsible for providing such facilities to its citizens and it should be definitely free of cost, but unfortunately its difficult to manfiest such ideas for a nation who is under so much debt.

The independent most successful and developed countries have such facilities for their people like in China, Canada you will see people having clean water everywhere they go just like them many other countries are doing their best to provide water.

To dealiniate the fact that human needs are nowadays less considerable for upper class people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You take a broadly clear position that governments should provide clean water free of charge, and the account of contaminated local water is relevant support. However, the response addresses the proposal only partially: it does not explain how free household supply should work or develop the reasons for making it free, and the final sentence about upper-class people is incomplete and difficult to connect to your argument. The reference to countries such as China and Canada is asserted rather than supported with a specific example. The response is also five words below the required minimum. To strengthen the response, state your position directly in the introduction, develop two relevant reasons with explanation, and finish with a conclusion that answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some basic organisation: the opening introduces clean water as a right, the next paragraph gives a personal example, and a later paragraph discusses government responsibility. This gives the reader a general sense of the topic. However, progression is uneven, and the final sentence, “To dealiniate the fact that human needs are nowadays less considerable for upper class people,” does not form a clear concluding point. Connections between ideas are also sometimes abrupt, such as the move from contaminated water to government debt and then to examples of other countries. Use clear topic sentences and explain how each example supports your position. A short conclusion and more precise linking between paragraphs would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “contaminated,” “laboratory tests,” “basic human needs,” and “provided free of cost.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow: “priviledge,” “negligiance,” and “dealiniate” are misspelled, while “manifest such ideas” is not a natural way to express the intended meaning. Some phrasing is also imprecise, such as “not suitable for a ‘Dog’.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “unsafe for consumption” would communicate the water-quality point more appropriately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer structures, for example, “A Government is responsible for providing such facilities to its citizens and it should be definitely free of cost.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and punctuation sometimes make the message difficult to read. Examples include “A clean water,” “I am from city,” and the run-on construction beginning “I remember once back in 2025.” The final sentence is also grammatically incomplete. Try separating long ideas into complete sentences, and check article use and sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these basic structures would make your argument clearer while allowing you to retain some complex sentences.
