Student answer (Band 5.5)
Availability of clean water is a basic right of individuals. Therefore, every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost. I strongly agree with this notion, mainly because its a basic need of individuals; moreover, human life, healt and dignity can not exist.
Beginning with the clean water, it is essential for humans mainly because human can not survive without clean water. Although clean water help in better food digestions, without clean water people suffer in many diseases like abdominal, diarrhea and kidney problems. There re many case reported every year due to unclean water, and most of them are belong to backward families. For instance, in Faisalabad, many people suffering in diarrhea each year due to lack of impure water. Faisalabad is an industrial area and people drink contaminated water. Thus, Government should pay attention to clean water because its a human right.
Furthermore, clean water is necessary right for everyone. Mostly rich people have clean water supply at home, but poor people can not afford the bill of pure water. Moreover, its the concerning point for authorities to pay attention on it. For example, WASA organization is responsible for clean water supply. In Faisalabad, many rich people have WASA water supply at home, and they pay wages for pure water on monthly bases. So, water should be available at home without any wages becuase its a basic right of citizenes.
In conclusion, While many might not agree with my statement becuase they though government have less budget, I though it should be available to human free of cost because not much cost required for this improvment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that household water should be free, and the body paragraphs give relevant reasons about health and affordability. The examples of contaminated water in Faisalabad and the WASA supply help connect the argument to a real context. However, the response only partially develops the task: it explains why clean water is essential and why poorer households struggle to pay, but it does not fully examine what “free of charge” would mean or address the likely costs and practical implications. The conclusion briefly mentions limited government budgets, but dismisses this concern without support. Develop both the benefits and the counterargument more fully, then explain why your position remains convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly separate health from affordability, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the argument visible. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive or unclear: the first body paragraph repeats that clean water is essential before moving to disease, while the second shifts from affordability to WASA without clearly explaining how the example supports free provision. Some linking phrases, including “Moreover,” feel mechanical, and references such as “it” are not always precise. To improve, organise each paragraph around one claim, explain the link between evidence and claim, and use transitions only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “contaminated water,” “human right,” “authorities” and “water supply,” so the main argument is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less precise. Phrases such as “better food digestions,” “suffer in many diseases,” “pay wages for pure water” and “without any wages” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, for example “healt,” “becuase” and “citizenes.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing precise expressions will make your reasoning clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including the opening sentence with “therefore” and the concession beginning “While many might not agree.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in both simple and more complex sentences, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “human can not survive,” “clean water help,” “There re many case reported,” and “many people suffering,” where agreement, verb forms or sentence construction are faulty. The final sentence also has unclear tense and clause structure: “I though it should be available … because not much cost required.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete verb phrases and clear clause boundaries. Short, controlled sentences can help before you add more complex structures.
