Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, it is often argued that getting purified water is primary right of human being. So, government need to provide pure water supply on all home without cost. I completely agree with this point of view because such initiatives not only improving people health but also helping them to stay safe from virus and bacteria.

To begin with, improving people health is the prime reason. The main element of people's cells is water and more than 90 percent of our cell contain water. So, water is crucial part of everyone bodies. If people drink enough water, it will help to built their bodies and they will stay healthy. A recent research conducted by Sylhet M A G Osmani medical college showed that drinking an adequate amount of water help people to maintain standard blood pressure.

Moreover, helping people to stay safe from virus and bacteria is another positive advantage. At present, waterborn diseases are causing the highest numbers of death in the developing and the poor countries and viruses are the main reason of that kinds of diseases. Most of the time, virus entered human body by water. So, if people drink clean water, it will help them to avoid virus and bacteria. A recent study showed that around 60 percent of east African people drink river water, which contains virus and bacteria and their 70 percent of sudden death caused by watern born disease.

In conclusion, I strongly belive that authories should provide clean water on the every home because it will built their health and make sure to safe from many waternborn diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you agree that authorities should provide clean water to every home without charge. Both body paragraphs give relevant reasons—health benefits and protection from waterborne illness—and you try to support them with research examples. This addresses the task well. However, some support is not fully explained: the claim that water helps “built their bodies” is unclear, and the East African statistics are presented without showing how free household provision would solve the problem. To strengthen the response further, explain the link between each reason and free access, and develop the examples with clearer, more credible detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and each paragraph has a recognisable central focus. Some cohesion is nevertheless mechanical because the same pattern of announcing a reason and then repeating it is used throughout. References such as “that kinds of diseases” and “their 70 percent” are also unclear, making it harder to identify exactly what the pronouns refer to. Use a wider range of linking and referencing, and connect the evidence more explicitly to the point being made.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “purified water,” “blood pressure,” “virus and bacteria” and “waterborn diseases,” so the reader can follow the main subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “adequate amount” and “conducted by.” However, noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision: “primary right of human being,” “waterborn,” “built their health” and “make sure to safe” are not natural or accurate expressions. Some repetition of “water,” “people” and “help” also limits flexibility. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling and word forms, especially when using less familiar vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If people drink enough water, it will help…” and a relative clause in “water…which contains virus and bacteria.” These attempts show some range, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction remain. For example, “government need” should have subject–verb agreement, while “more than 90 percent of our cell contain” has errors in number and agreement. In “drinking an adequate amount of water help,” the subject requires a singular verb. Review these patterns and practise checking each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb and appropriate articles.
