Student answer (Band 5.5)
Access to clean water is widely considerant as a fundamental human right, as it is essential for survival and maintaining good health. I strongly agree with this view because everyone should have access to safe drinking water, regardless of their financial circumstances, and governments have responsabilities to protect public health.
Clean water is crucial for human health. Contamined water could cause some sever illness, and spread diseases. For instance, diarrhoea can be caused by a contamined source of water, affecting not only the persons health , but also their dueies and daily routines. Access to safe drinkable water can prevent illness and deathes.
Every person have right to access to pure and clean water ragardless their status or financial circumstances. Poor peaple may struggle to find a good source of clean water. The lack of facilities that provide potable water in their area or the poor infrastructure they have affect the possibilities of receiving water. The government should provide a reliable solutions to bring safe water to every residant in the country. For examples, clean water trucks can be programmed to the rural and poor areas. The government should provide financial aid to dig wells in rural area.
To conclude, access to clean and potable water is right to every citizans in the country. All the society are equal in getting a convainable infrastrictures that provide clean water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that everyone should have access to safe water, and you give relevant reasons about health and financial inequality. The examples of water trucks and support for well-digging also make the response specific. However, the discussion focuses mainly on access to clean water rather than directly explaining why the supply should be free of charge; this central part of the question needs fuller treatment. Some points, such as the effects of contaminated water and the proposed government measures, are mentioned but not developed with explanation or examples. The response is also 22 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your argument. Explain how free provision could be funded and why charging households would be unfair or harmful.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting health and equality arguments, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of reasoning easy to follow. Basic linking phrases such as “For instance” and “To conclude” help signal examples and the ending. However, connections between some ideas are abrupt, particularly where the discussion moves from poor infrastructure to water trucks and then to financial aid for wells. The conclusion repeats the general claim without bringing the two reasons together or returning clearly to the issue of free provision. Use linking and referencing more precisely, and organise each body paragraph around one developed point, with explanation and a relevant example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “fundamental human right,” “contaminated water,” “potable water,” “infrastructure,” and “financial aid.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “considerant,” “responsabilities,” “deathes,” and “convainable infrastrictures.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “safe drinkable water” and “a reliable solutions.” Aim to use accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “safe drinking water” is more natural than “safe drinkable water,” while “a reliable solution” or “reliable solutions” would correct the mismatch in number.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because everyone should have access…” and a relative clause in “facilities that provide potable water.” These structures help express your argument, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “Every person have right” needs “Every person has the right,” and “The government should provide a reliable solutions” has a singular/plural mismatch. In “affecting not only the persons health, but also their dueies,” the possessive form and parallel structure need attention. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and possessives, and build complex sentences carefully so that each clause is complete and clearly connected.
