Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, the topic of clean water is a basic right of every citizen. Therefore every home should have free water supply. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in modern society. It has generated debate because the cost of water is very high in big cities. I am agree with this view because this matter become more complicated day by day.
on the one hand, clean water is a basic need of our daily life. Shortage of clean water is especially in big cities like Karachi, Bombay and etc. It is most common in developing nations. Government do not have enough money to produce fresh and hygien water for population. For instance, Pakistan big urban area faces this problem because there is a lot of corruption in Pakistan especially in such type of projects. Poor management also leads this matter.
On the other hand, without fresh water there are lot of diseases that may lead to serious long term health issues. So instead of making roads metro in big cities government should introduce the project that provide cost free the fresh water to urban populations and where there are no clean water.
In conclusion filtered water is good for our health. So it is a duty of our officals to provided the clean water. They should less focus on other project and focus on it. From my perspective It is essential need of people that would must be need solution as soon as possible. In developing countries it is time taking process but if cabniet work well with proper strategies it will become a possible.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is broadly in favour of free water, stated in the opening and repeated in the conclusion, and you give relevant reasons such as health risks and shortages in large cities. However, the response only partially develops the central question of whether every home should receive water free of charge. Much of the discussion shifts to corruption, poor management, and government priorities, without explaining how free provision would be funded or whether it should apply to all households. The claim that governments lack money also sits uneasily beside the recommendation to provide water at no cost. Develop a clearer argument by explaining who should pay and how universal free access could work, then support each main reason with a specific example or explanation. Your conclusion should restate this reasoning more clearly rather than introduce a broad call for action.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “on the one hand” and “on the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader some guidance through the ideas. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph moves from water shortages to government finances, corruption, and management without showing how each point supports free household supply. The second paragraph is brief and its recommendation about roads and metro projects is not fully connected to the health argument. Some linking phrases are mechanical, and references such as “this matter” are vague. Organise each paragraph around one reason, explain the link to your position, and use more precise transitions and references to make the argument flow naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “shortage,” “developing nations,” “corruption,” and “long term health issues.” There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “increasingly significant.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “cost free the fresh water,” “produce fresh and hygien water,” and “it is a duty of our officals.” Spelling errors such as “officals” and “cabniet” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing public services and funding, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional sentence about the cabinet working with proper strategies. However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures are often faulty. Examples include “I am agree,” “Government do not have,” and “there are lot of diseases”; these show problems with verb forms, subject–verb agreement, and articles. The final sentence, “it will become a possible,” is also difficult to interpret because its structure is incomplete. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly at the start of paragraphs and around sentence boundaries. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with one clear main clause and carefully checked subordinate clauses.
