Student answer (Band 5.0)

The necessity of clean water needs to be accesible to all individuals and its crucial part. Hence the household water supplization shoud be provided without charge. I agree with this subject because it is an important and major factor to supply for a pure water and this is the resposibility of a government with no charges are applied.

On the one hand, the main reason for what I agree is, it is a common and essential factor to people where they received clean and fresh water supply into their home, with a seperately tap from the corporation. As we can see due to excess population , some of the cities are facing water shortages, so some of the general people when they faced this issue they are unable to afford a daily water tanker, whereas the goverment shoud look closer to thise areas and built some water municipal plans near to those areas which are in the deficiency. For instance, a recent report from news mentioned that, some fo the rurual areas from Maharashtra they are heavily depended on the lakes, dams and rivser with far distance they are looking for a single full bucket of water, the goverment addresses the issue and provided a better and fast supply of filtered clean water through plant with a "Jaal hie jeevan yojna" the project of indian government to provide a fresh water every home without a single charge.

On the other hand, except in urban areas, there is a shortage of water and unable to find the clean water. due to improper filteration plant. Becuase of this the individuals health are in danger. Goverment need to have a focus on these problems with water plants and the filterations. though, the goverment charges and obtain a tax for water supplization with the improper managaement of the system. For example, in report mentioned the year of 2025 some of the areas of Pune metro city the tax allowed water supply provided with a dirty yellowish engaged with the bacterial, which were leads to the dengue and malaria symptoms for residents. As a reason the water plant sanitazation and filerzation was stopped a month ago, due to strikes of the workers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is stated clearly at the start: you agree that household water should be supplied without charge, and you give relevant reasons involving affordability, shortages, and unsafe water. The Maharashtra example also attempts to support the point that government provision can improve access. However, the response only partly develops the task: the second body paragraph focuses mainly on poor water quality and failed management, rather than explaining why the supply should be free or addressing possible objections such as the cost of providing it. The conclusion is left unfinished, so the argument is not brought together. Develop each reason with a clear link to free access, and complete the conclusion by restating your position and summarising your main reasons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a recognisable structure, with an opening, two body paragraphs introduced by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and an attempted conclusion. The examples are placed within relevant paragraphs. However, progression is difficult to follow because several sentences combine multiple points without clear links, and the contrast signalled by “On the other hand” is not fully explained. Connectors such as “Hence,” “whereas,” and “As a reason” are sometimes used inaccurately or mechanically. The final paragraph contains only “In conclusion,” leaving the essay without a closing idea. Organise each body paragraph around one clear reason, use linking phrases only where the relationship is clear, and finish with a complete conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “water shortages,” “filtered clean water,” “municipal,” and “sanitization.” These choices show an effort to discuss public services and water quality. However, frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations make parts of the response difficult to understand, for example “water supplization,” “seperately tap,” and “heavily depended on.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “a better and fast supply” and “yellowish engaged with the bacterial.” Use standard topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully; choosing familiar, accurate phrases will communicate your ideas more effectively than attempting complex wording without control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whereas,” and “which.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, many sentences contain errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, which sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “the individuals health are in danger” has a mismatch between the subject and verb, while “some of the cities are facing water shortages, so some of the general people when they faced this issue” shifts awkwardly between tenses and does not form a complete, clear clause. The opening also contains a sentence fragment. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating long ideas into complete sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
