Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give a relevant reason: clean water is necessary for survival, especially for people who cannot afford it. The example of rural families relying on contaminated water also supports your argument. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the counterpoint about water waste is introduced, but its connection to whether water should be free is not fully explained, and the essay ends without a developed conclusion. The response is also below the required 250 words; the nine words copied from the prompt do not count toward the minimum. To strengthen your response, explain how free provision could be balanced with measures to discourage waste, and develop your supporting points with clearer detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation: the opening states your view, the next paragraph gives a reason and example, and “However” signals a contrasting point. This gives the reader a basic sense of the essay’s direction. However, progression is uneven, and several linking phrases are inaccurate or repetitive. For instance, “moreover it has some disagreement” does not clearly introduce the opposing view, while “At this point” and “Whereas” do not connect the ideas logically. The final paragraph also stops abruptly, with no conclusion returning to your position. Use one clear purpose per paragraph, connect the water-waste point directly to your argument, and finish with a brief summary of your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic human right,” “personal hygiene,” “contaminated water,” and “essential resource,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand, such as “wasting hydrogen” and “my juctification.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “pay high amount for water” and “make strict law for wasting.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “water wastage” rather than “wasting hydrogen,” and “introduce strict laws to prevent waste” rather than “make strict law for wasting.” This would make your meaning clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure beginning “If households have to pay…” and a result introduced by “As a result.” These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “There multiple perspectiv that people need water,” “it can be possible they use,” and “would be protect individuals health.” There are also problems with sentence boundaries and capitalisation, such as “view.i completely agree” and “However, One disagreement.” Practise complete clause structures, subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms. Proofreading for punctuation and sentence boundaries will also improve accuracy.
