Student answer (Band 5.5)
Access to clean water is a basic human right. However the statement that every home should have a water supply that is provided by the government is a necessary need of peoples.Which are suffering from inflation in a society,High rate of goods, electricity bills, high petrol prices with multiple government levi charges and several tyoes of problems they are facing.
Apart from that they are anyhow managing this all issues but when it comes to basic needs such as clean water which is the right of every citizen of a country its responsibility of a country to facilitate clean water to thier peoples which should be free of cost.Because despite many challenges of daily life people pay every taxes to government without complaining anything then in return government needs to focus on their people and their problems in society.
In my opinion every country should implement this rule. That clean water should supply properly in every part of the country so that childrens and aged persons can be protected from diseases which spread from filthy water. Moreover if I take example of my own village there are so many problems regarding crime, bad infrustructure, unemployement, roads. However the local government of the village provides clean water to their peoples. If we discuss about how to convince the government so they can implement this across the country. There is only one solution which is peaceful protest a demand from government to provide them clean water

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in favour of free clean water, and you give relevant reasons, including protecting children and older people from diseases and the example of your village. However, the argument is only partly developed: the village example is not explained in enough detail to show how free provision works, and the proposed peaceful protest is not clearly connected to the essay’s main reasons. The response also contains 215 words, so it is 35 words below the required minimum; 19 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count. This limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a specific explanation or example and address how governments could fund or manage free supply.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable progression from the general issue, to the government’s responsibility, and then to your opinion and village example. Linking expressions such as “Apart from that,” “Moreover,” and “However” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the first paragraph is difficult to follow because several points are joined into one long sentence, and the final sentence introduces protest without a clear transition from the example. Some connections are also mechanical or unclear, particularly “If we discuss about how to convince the government.” Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and make each paragraph develop one main point. Clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “basic needs,” “inflation,” “government,” and “diseases,” which helps communicate your main concerns. There are also attempts to use more specific language about public services and social problems. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “necessary need,” “government levi charges,” and “provide them clean water.” Spelling errors, including “thier,” “infrustructure,” and “unemployement,” also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe water as “supplied free of charge” and refer to “government levies” or “taxes,” rather than combining words in ways that obscure the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “which” and “so that.” However, many sentences contain grammatical and punctuation problems that make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “However the statement … is a necessary need of peoples” has faulty sentence construction, while “its responsibility of a country” is missing a grammatical structure such as “it is the responsibility.” The opening also runs several clauses together without appropriate sentence boundaries. Work on complete sentences, subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, especially when joining clauses. Building accurate simple sentences first, then adding subordinate clauses, will help you express your argument more clearly.
