Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a fundamental human right that clean water should be accessible and every home should be provided with free of cost water supply. I firmly agree with this point of view.
Human life is not possible without clean and free water. We need water for carrying out a lot of our everyday activities like cooking, cleaning, drinking and so on. If pure water is not available to everyone then life would cease to exist. Unavailabilty of clean water will invite a tremendous number of diseases which will disrupt the socio-economic conditions of a society. The citizens would not be able to perform their daily activites in an efficient manner and it will definitely effect the progress of a country. If individuals of a society are not privileged with free and pure water they can not play their part in the progressive development of their country and they will be left behind other nations.
Populace whether they are children, adult or mature will have to deal with numerous challenges. Deprivation of econmical and pure water will make them stressed and depressed. Individuals have to buy clean which will lead to financial burden and the water will still not be sufficient for daily chores. With the accessibility of clean and free water, people can efficiently focus on other activities andlead their country towards success and glory.
To conclude, Government ought to provide every home with this basic facility so that the citizens of its country will remain healthy and make their nation prosperous.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening—“I firmly agree”—and the conclusion consistently supports government provision of clean water. You give relevant reasons, including health, everyday needs, financial burden and national development, so the response addresses the central question. It also shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion, particularly in linking unsafe water with disease and social consequences. However, several claims remain broad: for example, the idea that people who lack free water “will be left behind other nations” is asserted rather than explained or illustrated. The discussion also focuses more on why water must be clean and available than on why the supply should be free. Develop that distinction with a specific example or explanation to make the argument more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, the body develops supporting reasons, and the conclusion restates the recommendation. Ideas generally follow a sensible order, moving from basic needs and health to financial and social effects. Some links between points, however, are mechanical or unclear. Repeated use of “and” strings together several consequences, while “If individuals… they cannot play their part” does not clearly show how the preceding points lead to national progress. The second body paragraph also shifts quickly from population groups to stress, costs and national success. Use clearer topic sentences and divide or connect these ideas more deliberately; vary linking expressions and make references such as “this” or “they” unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “fundamental human right,” “socio-economic conditions,” “financial burden” and “progressive development.” These choices help communicate the main argument, and some less common terms show an attempt to express complex effects. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “free of cost water supply,” “deprivation of economical and pure water,” and “buy clean.” There are also spelling errors, including “Unavailabilty,” “activites” and “econmical,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations such as “a free water supply,” “access to safe drinking water” and “purchase clean water,” and proofread carefully. More precise vocabulary would also help avoid broad phrases such as “success and glory.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If pure water is not available to everyone…” and a relative clause in “water which will disrupt…” The overall meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “every home should be provided with free of cost water supply” needs an article and a more accurate construction, while “children, adult or mature” has problems with number and parallel form. In “Individuals have to buy clean which will lead…,” the object is missing, making the sentence incomplete in meaning. There are also punctuation and spacing issues, as in “activities andlead.” Review articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, and check that each verb has a clear subject and each clause a complete structure.
