Student answer (Band 6.0)

Having pure water is the basic need of the civilization of a country. Although, some people demanded a supply of clean water free of cost, there are a number of logic which stands beside the opposite. As water is limited resource and it should be use carefully ,i strongly believe that water with no cost can harmful for government as well as the citizen.

Government have to go through a process with raw element for make water safe to distribute it to it's people. Although this process includes different stage ,it demands an exorbitant cost in every step. For example, professional architect for designing the blueprints, engineers for establishing pipeline , human lavours to maintain the connection to household and many more. Therefore all the cost can be unbearable for government if all the citizens do not pay for their consumption.

Additionally, water is a natural substance which is not unlimited to the planet. If using pure water cost no money, it may lead to excessive use without thinking. People only value things with the cost of money, so when people get clean water free it will face a misuse. For instance, a number of citizen will not shut off the tap after using it for bathing and washing since they do not have to pay for it. As a result,it will reduce the amount of water globally.

In conclusion, as there are several reason of worst effect , pure or clean water should not be distributed free of cost for household use .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you disagree with free household water, and both main reasons—public treatment and distribution costs, and the risk of waste—are relevant to the question. The examples of pipeline maintenance and leaving taps running help make these points concrete. This fits the descriptor because the task is addressed, but some ideas are less fully developed than others. In particular, the claim that free water would be “unbearable for government” would be stronger with an explanation of how household charges could help fund the service or protect supply. The conclusion restates your view but does not draw together the two reasons. Develop the reasoning and acknowledge that access to a basic amount of water could still be protected while charging for higher use.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion returns to your position. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “For example,” and “As a result” make the relationships between points generally clear. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with several sentences relying on “Therefore,” “For instance,” or “As a result” to signal links rather than developing them smoothly. Some references are also unclear: “it will face a misuse” does not clearly identify what “it” refers to, and the final phrase “several reason of worst effect” is difficult to follow. Use clearer referencing and vary how you connect explanations and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “limited resource,” “exorbitant cost,” “pipeline,” and “excessive use,” which helps communicate the main arguments. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “basic need of the civilization,” “raw element,” “human lavours,” and “worst effect.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less precise, even though the overall argument remains understandable. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling and word forms. For example, refer to water-treatment materials and maintenance workers, and describe the consequences as “negative effects” or “harmful consequences.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if all the citizens do not pay” and a reason clause beginning “since.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “Government have,” an incorrect verb form in “it should be use,” and article or plural problems in “a number of logic.” Sentence punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly around commas and full stops. These issues fit a response with some errors that rarely prevent understanding, but they reduce accuracy. Review agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and complete verb.
