Student answer (Band 5.5)
As we all know, clean water is a basic human need. Therefore government should provide free clean water supply in all houses. I belive that clean water is a must thing a human have in his day-to-day life. I partially agree with this argument because access of clean water is now not more accessble for everyone due to scarcity of water in the world.
Firstly, clean water is basic human right every household should have this in free of cost whereas in today's world clean water is not more affordable for all individuals because the goverment take taxes and water bill in exchange of water. However, the reason behind is clean water is not easily available in india like country because of river pollution doing by industries. these industries ruins the river water completely. As a result, government use machines to clean the water because of this they charge for it.
Secondly, every household should have a free water supply provided by the government. But in today's world every household haven't free water supply whereas they pay for it. Furthermore, the scarcity of water is a major problem in numermous country's thus government take advantage of this problem and they make it a business and take money in exchange of water. Therefore every home hasn't free water supply.
To conclude, as discussed above clean water is a baisc human right and it should be provide in free of cost in every household but due to water scarcity water and polluted water it not more provide in free. I partially agree with the arguement that clean water is basic human right, on the other hand government also face problem to arrange clean water that's why they charge for it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, though qualified, response: “I partially agree,” and you relate this position to affordability, water scarcity, and pollution. The example of industrial river pollution in India is relevant and helps explain why treatment may involve costs. However, the argument is only partly developed. The essay does not clearly distinguish a basic right to access safe water from the claim that every household must receive unlimited water free of charge. The point that governments “take advantage” of scarcity is asserted rather than supported, and the reasons for charging are not balanced against possible ways to guarantee affordable access. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example and make your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To conclude” make the broad structure easy to identify. However, progression within and between paragraphs is limited: both body paragraphs repeat that households pay for water and that scarcity prevents free supply, rather than building distinct supporting points. Some links are awkward or unclear, particularly “However, the reason behind is…” and “because of this they charge for it.” The conclusion also repeats the introduction without bringing the reasoning together. Give each body paragraph a separate focus, arrange its explanation and example in a clear sequence, and use referencing and linking phrases more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “water scarcity,” “river pollution,” “industries,” and “water bill,” so the reader can follow the subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “free water supply” and “water scarcity.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems, such as “must thing,” “in free of cost,” “ruins the river water,” “numermous,” and “baisc.” These sometimes make the meaning less natural or require the reader to interpret your intended meaning. Build a more precise set of expressions for access, affordability, treatment, and public provision, and check spelling and common word combinations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whereas,” and “as a result.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “every household haven't free water supply” has incorrect agreement and a missing article, while “it should be provide” uses the wrong verb form. Several sentences also run together, as in “water. However,” and “completely. As a result,” which makes the relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate sentence patterns for expressing causes and contrasts, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
