Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give relevant reasons, including water’s role in survival and daily activities. The examples of communities where water is not readily available also help illustrate the consequences of limited access. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that people in these regions are “lacking behind in all fields” is broad, and the link between water access and national development needs clearer support. The response also focuses mainly on why water is essential; it could address the “free of charge” aspect more directly by explaining how charging households affects poorer families or how governments might fund the supply. Developing these points would make the argument more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an opening position, two paragraphs giving reasons, and a concluding statement that restates your view. Ideas generally progress from water’s importance for survival to its role in household and community life. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. “Therefore” introduces a related point, but the relationship between the body’s water content and the right to household supply is not fully explained. The sentence beginning “When humans are deprived…” is a fragment, and “Such scenarios” has a somewhat broad reference. The final paragraph also begins with “And,” which makes the conclusion feel less controlled. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fundamental human right,” “basic human necessity,” “household availability,” and “daily struggles.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations reduce accuracy, as in “governoment,” “avalability,” “lacking behind,” and “mondate.” Some wording is also repetitive, particularly repeated references to “water” and “basic” necessities. Aim to check spelling carefully and choose collocations that express your meaning naturally. For example, describe communities as “lagging behind” rather than “lacking behind,” and use a precise phrase such as “a reliable household water supply.” Greater control of word choice would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and some longer structures, such as “Humans need water for all chores of life from cleaning, cooking, washing to cultivation.” This gives the response some sentence variety, and the main ideas are usually understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, including “human body can not survive” where an article is needed, and “When humans are deprived of basic necessities…” which is not a complete sentence. The sentence beginning “And it must be provided…” is also an awkward fragment after the previous sentence. Punctuation and sentence boundaries need more consistent control, especially where several ideas are joined together. Practise combining clauses accurately and checking that every sentence has a complete main clause; this will help you express complex ideas more clearly.
