Student answer (Band 5.0)
Access to clean water is essential and it is a basic human right.Every home should have a separate water supply tap that should be free of cost. I,agree with statement because we use water almost everyday and without water we cannot do anything and also we cannot do any household work, without water it is complicated to prepare food. if we dont have access to clean water we may suffer from various diseases also other health issues such as dehydration in our bodies.
I, completely disagree with statement. if people do not have sufficient access to clean water there are lots of consequences they may face.First of all, if people don't drink clean water their body get dehydrated. They are other disease as well that are related to that such as kidney failure, urine infection, constipation etc... .One of the most frequent issue faced by so many younger children is that they don't drink enough water after consuming food.Later, they may suffer from constipation.Water is vital and a basic human right. The government should provide free water tanks in public areas to avoid various health problems.
Regarding, the access to clean water in every home is also play a crucial role. Because through water we can clean ourselves from the dirt, we can prepare food, we can also maintain hygiene in our homes.Government plays an important role for placing free water tanks that allow people to drink water everywhere. If someome is feeling thirsty they can have water anytime they need. Therefore, developing clean water taps with no cost is really helpful and beneficial for the society to stay hydrated and also to promote healthy lifestyle.
In conclusion, it is a fact that water is a basic human right around the world. Providing an access to clean water in evry home is essential .Utilizing water on daily basis will maintain good health and neglect all other problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response discusses the importance of clean water and gives relevant reasons, including hydration, hygiene, food preparation and health. However, the position is seriously unclear: the opening says, “I agree with statement,” but the next paragraph begins, “I, completely disagree with statement.” This contradiction prevents the reader from understanding your answer to the central question. Much of the discussion also shifts to free water tanks in public areas, rather than explaining whether every home should receive a free supply. To strengthen the response, state one consistent position in the introduction and conclusion, then develop two or three reasons that directly support it with specific explanation or an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has separate paragraphs and uses basic signposting such as “First of all,” “Regarding,” and “In conclusion,” so there is an attempt to organise the ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the argument changes direction: agreement is stated first, followed by explicit disagreement, and then the essay returns to supporting free water. Several points are repeated, particularly that water is vital and helps people stay healthy. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, as in the move from children’s constipation to government water tanks. Plan a clear sequence—position, reason one, reason two, conclusion—and use linking phrases to show how each example supports that position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main subject, including “basic human right,” “dehydrated,” “kidney failure,” “hygiene,” and “healthy lifestyle.” These choices show some range beyond very basic words. However, several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “free of cost,” “various health problems,” and “really helpful and beneficial.” Some collocations are unnatural, including “clean ourselves from the dirt” and “maintain hygiene in our homes.” Aim for more precise, natural expressions and avoid repeating general claims about health. For example, you could describe the practical benefits of a reliable household supply and use specific terms for sanitation and waterborne illness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and longer sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors occur frequently in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “Every home should have a separate water supply tap that should be free of cost” is awkwardly structured, while “their body get dehydrated” has an agreement error. The sentence beginning “Regarding, the access…” is also incomplete in its construction, and several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check each sentence for agreement and punctuation. Correcting these recurring patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
