Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a position in favour of providing clean water, and you give relevant reasons: polluted water threatens health, and governments should protect people’s basic needs. However, the response only minimally addresses the central proposal that household water should be free of charge. It does not explain why water should be free rather than affordable or subsidised, nor consider costs or practical alternatives. The claim that clean water is a right is repeated, but not developed with a specific example or supporting explanation. The response is also 59 words below the required minimum, which limits the opportunity to develop the argument. To strengthen the answer, state your view on free household supply explicitly and extend it with reasons and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces the importance of health and water, then discusses pollution and government responsibility, and ends with a brief summary. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression is limited, and the final paragraph largely repeats the claim that everyone has a right to clean water rather than advancing the argument about free provision. Connections between ideas are sometimes abrupt, such as the shift from countries becoming powerful to damage to water bodies. Linking phrases such as “In today’s era” and “Generally” are used, but they do not clearly show how each point supports the position. Organise the body around distinct reasons and use clearer links between claims, explanations, and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “polluted,” “factories,” “industries,” “human wastes,” and “fundamental principle,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “how to life life properly,” “drinking clean,” and “the best possible resources available for their life.” Spelling errors, including “homo sepeins,” “drining,” and “posion,” also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise collocations and avoid repeating broad terms such as “basic right” and “clean water” without adding detail. For example, you could refer to “safe drinking water,” “household water supply,” and “water-treatment infrastructure.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Since…” and a conditional-style comparison, “Without the treatment of it, it’s like drinking…”. However, control is inconsistent, and several sentences contain errors that make the meaning less clear. For example, “eating, drinking and living in a good environment with good health is kind of basic thing” has problems with sentence structure, agreement, and articles. “All human life have a right” also has subject–verb agreement problems, while “the basic right of all life present on this planet to get the clean water” is an incomplete construction. Use shorter, complete sentences when needed, check singular and plural agreement, and practise building complex sentences with a clear main clause.
